If you are a Hearts supporter, tell us why.

My dad was a Jambo, and his dad etc etc.
Although i now live in Broxburn (about 10 miles east of Edinburgh) I lived about a mile away from Tynecastle up until about 2 years ago.
And who else would I support....Hibs

Although I made the choice when i was knee high to a grasshopper to support the boys in maroon, I have always been proud of the decision. I've had a season ticket since i was 6 years old and travel to away games regularly and even if success is hard to come by, i will never forget May '98 and, more recently, the victory over Bordeaux.

Come on Jambos, lets hear from you all!!! :)

I chose Hearts because they seem to be an up and coming squad and club. It reminds me of Charlton, my EPL team of choice -- hard working, honest, tireless -- character and integrity come to mind.

Besides, my first name is Paul and one of my middle names is Hartley. What a coincidence. And he had a pretty good year -- I guess he is still overcoming his Hibsyness.

I just wish I could see them play.

Go Jambos!

Honestly, Hearts have cool kits. Edinburgh is a great city. Their supporters are a bit tough, saw lots of coins being thrown at Celtic players when Celtic visited the capital. Why are they called Gambos???

Thanks.

Heart of Midlothian Football Club = Hearts = Jam Tarts (rhyming slang) = Jambos. Self-explanatory, surely...

You think Hearts fans are rough? You should see the Hibs fans. I watched the League Cup QF in my local, when Hibs beat Celtic 2-1. It was a rough crowd, both sets.

I pull for Hearts for two reasons:

1. I really like Edinburgh; and

2. I want someone to challenge the big two, and Hearts seem most up to it year after year.

Of course, and I'm sure it's incredibly blasphemous to say so, but I also support Hibs for the first reason above. I'm sure that supporting Hearts and Hibs at the same time merely insures that everyone in Edinburgh hates me, and that everyone in Scotland outside of Edinburgh hates me twice as much!

Oh well.

hey, does anyone know where a good place to get a Hears kit from, relatively cheap? I like last year's kit a little better, but there's no way an XXL would fit me and that's all that's left on their website.

Whoah waoh. This guy, right here, was at Hibs-Hearts this past august. Hibs fans are rough. A guy who was taking care of a dude in a wheel chair ran on to the feild and tried to attack the ref. Then after the whistle Hibs fans stormed the pitch!
