Well, the draw is on Friday. For a good understanding of who we can play to qualify for the group stages, Arsenal.com has a good article on that. Matches will be played August 18/19 and August 25/26.

Basically we can't face Lyon, Shakhtar Donetsk, Sporting Lisbon or Panathinaikos. There are still a lot of tricky draws out there though.

Who does everyone want to get?

Stuttgart, Anderlecht, or Timisoura. The first one just to stick it to Hleb :D

If Timisoura knock of Shakhtar Donestsk I believe we also can't face Stuttgart in that case. I'm really not frightened by any of the teams, but would like preferably like to face Anderlecht as they are the least threatening. I'd also like to avoid Celtic for obvious reasons but we would probably handle them.

I don't care who it is.

The first leg is a day after my birthday and all I want is for Arsenal to win.

The only teams I would like to avoid are Stuttgart and Fiorentina. Anyone else, we can handle easily.

Jens is still at Stuttgart correct?

If we happen to draw Celtic and lose - I'll never hear the end of it. So preferably anyone other than Celtic.

I'd rather not play Celtic, too.

Timisoura I'm sure would be perfect. Who doesn't want to go to Romaina?! Seriously, how'd they wind up in our pot? Romania gets two entrants? Would make for a good trip for those who do them.

Remind me of who is in our pot?

Nevermind, I see the link. Give me Anderlecht.

Remind me of who is in our pot? Teams who are not champions. Did your crumbly, eastern european experience teach you nothing?

Maribor is losing 2-0 at home!!!

I'd actually like Celtic. I'd rather avoid traveling to eastern europe to play a team that we don't know much about and could surprise us. Celtic would give us a good challenge but nothing we can't handle, and Glasgow is a much closer trip than Shaktar Donetsk or Timisoara.

Based on today's results: Fiorentina, Atletico Madrid, Celtic, Anderlecht, Timisoura.

Correct me if I am wrong?

We don't want Stuttgart.

We can't face them now since they move up to the fifth top seed with Shakhtar Donetsk losing out today. I'd like to avoid A.Madrid and Fiorentina but any of the rest will be fine with me.

We would most likely beat them but there is really nothing like the atmosphere at Parkhead for a massive Champions League match and it is arguably a tougher trip than going to Eastern Europe. Shakhtar Donetsk is out anyway. Just ask Man U about Celtic at home..
