Who all is going to be at the game? I just got my tix and Im right behind the net in the Chelsea supporters area. I'm quite excited to see them play.

I have my tickets -- section 147. After looking at the stadium arrangement for soccer, I'm not sure if I'm in the small 147 or the larger 147, but I'll be with Blues either way. Is anyone else going to Seattle?

I'm in section 148 C. Thats right behind the net. I hope we can get some decent Chelsea chants and songs going. I was at the Man U game here last year and there was no chanting or singing. I think thats why they made the supporters areas for this game.

I keep hoping they'll bring a match or two to Houston. They could close the dome on Reliant and turn the air conditioning up.

My wife and I have been wanting to go to Seattle anyway, so this was the perfect setup, but I can't afford to jet to the East Coast or West Coast every summer.

It's gonna be awful quiet if it's just us singing. ;)

I can't believe nobody else here is going to the Seattle match.

i'll be there, i don't think i'm in the chelsea section, i'm somewhere on one of the sides (don't have the tix on me),
though i think it's 8th row so i should be able to make out faces & shirt numbers :)

Adri,

How long do you plan on staying in Seattle? My wife and I will be there for four days, so the match is only part of our short vacation.

That's cool. I was just wondering, since I seem to be the only one flying in for the Seattle match. I'll be in section 147 wearing the Duff away jersey.

they did sell beer at the Man U game. I don't know the prices but I think they had special beers aside from the domestic stuff.

I was hoping to get a lampard jersey on ebay but i can't anymore, i won't get it on time.

and about where to get a beer afterwards, all you have to do is walk with the crowd. they will be filliing up every pub and they are all very close by to the stadium.

The offer regarding shirts or any other club merchandise stands for any 'Big' Board Chelsea fan across the water.

Tell me what you want and I will get it. I am not interested in making a profit but one good turn deserves another. To find out what it is, you will have to email me direct or IM me on Y. You will see the red Y against my name.

I am deadly serious.
Thanks

Assuming they'll run the same setup as a Sounders home match, they'll have macro and micro. It isn't cheap, though. It's around 7 bucks for 12 oz cup.

The Sounders and Timbers got to play on the real stuff for their July 17 Cascadia Cup thriller:

Chelsea and Celtic will play in Seattle Saturday before around 60,000 fans.
Qwest Field imports a grass pitch, at a cost of around $100,000, for "big" soccer event matches such as these and USA Nat appearances.
