Can somebody help me out? These sizes on the FCB Shop are confusing and I don't want to buy the wrong size.

For purchasing clothes on the FCB shop the sizes are either like 140, 152, 164, 176 or 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. I'm a L in American sizes. What size am I in these sizes provided by Bayern?

I tried looking up size conversions online but no luck of anything that use the sizes FCB use for their clothes.

Help would be much appreciated!!!:D:o

Those are German sizes....duh, I'm sure you figured that part out already. I'll list some basics below, but if you'd (or anybody else) like an excel file that FCB Fanshop sent to me, PM me your email address and I'll forward the attachment to you.

S=5
M=6
L=7
XL=8
XXL=9+10

EDIT: The numbers in the 140, etc, are childrens sizes.

Be careful though...I am an American L and I need a size D8 usually...some of my garments list the size conversion for D8 as an American L/XL as if it was between the two sizes...

Can I please add to this request by asking someone to comment on the children's range of sizes...I try to buy items for my two boys from the FCB store, but I don't always get the conversions right. The conversion tables are very difficult to find on the internet.

Thanks.

It's no different than American sizes varying a bit.....sometimes a L in a certain thing fits me, when an XL fits better in another....there's always a bit of trial and error, especially when you can't try something on for sure in advance.

Here goes with the kids' gear...

YXS=128
YS=140
YM=152
YL=164

My boys are true YL here in the US, and the 164 works great for them.

Good luck. Also this is what I got as a response from Subside a few weeks back:
"These all come from Adidas De, and are sold to us based on the Germany size (D4, D5, etc.). There is no S,M,L, etc. size designation in most cases. I asked a friend to check the tag size designations for a random 09-10 Bayern Munich Tee, and here is what she provided:
US: Blank
UK: 42/44
DE: 7
JP: XO
F: 5
E: 5
I: 7
CDN: Blank
The slash sizes are our stock management system's solution to the problem of what to call sizes that fall in between standard while still remaining in the S, M, L, format."

German Kids size is the length in cm. The length of the child I should say. 164 is for a child that is 164cm tall.

Awesome! Glad to hear it worked out well. I have two FCB adidas backpacks on order for my boys for school. And a hat of course for me....;)

Nice, those backpacks look pretty cool. I got a hat complimentary with my order and I don't really like it. It's an ugly maroon colour and it's also very square, but it is from the land of square heads so makes sense. But there are some nice looking ones in the shop as well.

I ordered the "home" hat I think they call it. Red with the white "chest plate" thingy on the back of the hat. Just what I needed--another Bayern cap. :rolleyes:

What'd you order?

Yeah, that hat looks awesome.

I ordered a bunch of stuff.:) I spent like $500 including shipping.:o A week's work at my summer job this summer. xD

I ordered the new CL trikot with Klose 18, the red presentation track suit [red top with navy track pants] (model is Klose), the black "12" polo (Baumjohann is model), the blue polo with red and white stripes across the chest (Toni is model), a poster of the AA lit up all red, another poster of the inside of the AA with the fans spelling "FC Bayern Munchen" with coloured squares and a black flag with crest and 4 stars.

I want the damn shirts to be long-sleeved in the original website, I want to buy it from there but it seems like it's never going to happen. If Robben gets #10, I will be buying his shirt along with a few posters/woolies since school is starting and while I have spend a few thousands of dollars on school and about 1 grand more to go, the Bayern equipment should be a bonus hole to the deep deep thing that used to be known as my wallet. :( :D

Just get the Goalkeeper jersey with your favorite player Rensing on the back. :D

I think I will order a shirt too, it's too bad though there isn't an option to have the CL logos on the home jersey.

The more money we all spend in the FanShop gets us that much closer to being able to afford a new GK!! :rolleyes:;)

If we all order GK trikots with "Neuer" on the back, do you think that'll send a signal to management? :p
