Ruiz, Taylor, Guevara all at the top of MLS scoring. Ralph, Peguero and Glen not far behind. Williams still showing well.
Stern John, Paolo Wanchope scoring in Premiership. Onandi Lowe still scoring in lower division football.
Landon hitting his stride looks good for the US. Ben Olsen's crosses are creating a ton of chances, maybe he's finally over the injury problems.
Should be an interesting qualifying round if all these guys can turn it on at international level.

It's interesting to note that a big plus of MLS is that the American players would now have somewhere to develop, which in turn would make the national team better. Well, it seems that MLS may make a few of the Caribbean teams a whole lot better as well. We've given quite a few of the Caribbean players spots, in which they are thriving right now. Those same players are gonna come back to bit the USA's and Mexico's of the world in qualifying.

Lets not forget Brian McBride started and scored 2 for Fulham, Bocanegra started and assisted on the first Fulham goal, Howard had a clean sheet for Man U, and Reyna is back healthy, starting and playing well. Keller had a fantastic game for Spurs as well. Good weekend for US players in the EPL.

The young Quebec kid from the NCAA, Oliver Occean, drafted by the Metrostars and used in the La Manga Cup tournament, is leading the Norwegian Tippelaegen (whatever that is) in scoring!!

Ricardo Fuller is a quality player. I'm not a big fan of Onandi Lowe's, but Fabian Taylor, Ralph, and Fuller are all great forwards. I have my doubts however about the rest of your squad. Outside of your forwards and Gardner, there does not seem to be very much quality. Who would be your preferred tandem up top? I was suprised to see Fabian Taylor was not called up for Jamaica's last match.

Fabian Taylor was not called up because they want him to settle in with the Metros. He is a great forward but he is actually about #5 down the pecking order. This will improve as his maturity grows in MLS undoubtedly though. Watch out for 2 local players Garfield Reid (LB) and Fabian Davis (RB or midfield). Garfield Reid impressed highly on his debut against Uruguay and a lot of people think that if given the chance to play professionally abroad, he could easily reach Gardner's heights. Tyrone Marshall has really impressed at defensive mid for the last three games also.

With the quality of forwards Jamaica has, and Lowe's legal problems, I doubt we'll see Lowe suit up for Jamaica for some time to come, if ever.

juventino3 - I'm not a fan of Lowe because of his attitude and discipline issues either. However, in a perfect world, I would go for the Fuller/Lowe tandem. Both players can score against any defense and are generally highly marked. The problem is I've never seen them gell together. If the coach can get both of them to be on top of their game on the same day, it will be DANGER for any team they're playing against. Three forwards (Fuller, Marlon King, Damani) were used in the last game against Venezuela and it seems as if that worked out well.

With Lowe's legal problems, we might not see him much at all. Is Marlon King better than Fabian Taylor? I think you guys should rotate Ralph, Fuller, and Taylor. All three are very dynamic players that can trouble any defense. Anyhow, good luck with qualifications. I'm rooting for Jamaica to join the US and Mexico in Germany. :)

I joined this a bit late, but for me upfront it has to be Fuller and Lowe -Lowe's legal troubles aside. Another option is Fuller/King. Midfield should be pretty solid - with Gardner, Jermain Johnson (withdrawn forward or midfield), Whitmore/Williams and Langley. As for quality of the rest of the squad that will be proven over qualifications.
Garfield Reid has been a fantastic addition and will allow Gardner to play a more attacking role. The left side is very solid. Claude Davis is very tough in defense and Goodison is as experienced as they come. Tyrone Marshall is very versatile and usually plays very well for Jamaica. Zaidie again not sold on him but his last name carries some weight in Jamiaca. Frankly I am not sold on Ralph or Taylor at the international level - well atleast not yet. Both still young which bodes well for the future. Fabian Davis is a very good player, but at 29 its now or never. And how can I forget, we've got Frank Sinclair at right back - then again...

2 more for Stern John and a red against Iraq. A Gordie Howe hat-trick of sorts.

De Rosario was in a zone against LA Galaxy Saturday. Great goal and two assists, could have had more.

De Rosario is a good one. In all honesty, do you think Radzinski is better then DeRo? I don't. He has just had a chance to prove his worth in Europe. DeRo will be there soon enough.

Cagliari, relegated from Serie A in 2000, won note this season due to the presence of former Chelsea and Italy forward Gianfranco Zola in their squad but Saturday's win was inspired by their outstanding Honduran international striker David Suazo, who scored two superb solo goals.
