Had nothing to do so I browsed through the threads to add my note to a previous "Gabbidon" thread. Guess what? Nothing found from 140 pages!!!

There was one for McAnuff, couple for Katan, several for Repka, even ones for Powell and Newton!!! Not mentioning numerous threads for Ashton (Ashton, Ashton injured, Ashton recovering, Ashton will be back, Ashton is back, is Ashton God? etc.)

Anyways, ABOUT TIME FOR THIS ONE! THE HAMMER OF THE YEAR IS FINALLY BACK!!!!

For me Gabs is The Man, has always been. Grown-up with a grown-up attitude. Modest, quiet and never complaining, giving always his best. And his style of play just like the man himself.

In many ways just like Zola. Welcome back.

Has he got anything left in the tank after all these injuries?

Hope he stays fit. He´s still young and not been that prone to injuries before so I´m quite confident - anyways more confident that with Ashton...

He can´t have it all in the beginning - must take some time to get into full speed but I trust the second half of the season latest we´ll see him at his best.

Remember how good he was?

West Ham/Cardiff at home in 2003/2004 was an awesome game and one of the best atmospheres we had for a league game and Gabbidon was immense. I was so happy when he signed.

The last thing I remember Gabbidon doing was handballing it at Portmouth. Green saved the penalty though, if I remember correctly.

I remember him being rushed back from injury too early, having a mare at Reading and getting bawled out by Curbishley on the field. He didn't deserve that.

Didnt someone (Yossi?) say (or hint heavily) that Gabs was less than sober on that occasion?

God, let's not relive that Reading game:D

Anway, Gabbidon looked good out in China, surprised how well he did TBH after such a long lay off.
