UPDATE!
SkySports just said that ICT will have to ground share with Aberdeen
to take their place in the SPL!!! BOLLOCKS!
Why can't they add temp bleachers all the way round The Caledonian??
Does anyone know what the minimum number of seats are for an SPL ground?
Other restrictions/requirements to gain holy water from the SPL ??

The minimum requirement is 10,000 seats. It has to be all seater and permanent. If Caley want into the SPL, they will need to go to Aberdeen for at least a year.
It's crazy, but unfortunately, true.

Thankfully discussions are taking place to get rid of this stupid rule. Unfortunately for Caley it will not change this year though.

The 10,000 seater rule doesn't actually make any sense! Why should towns like cumbernauld and inverness need the same size of stadiums as teams in edinburgh?! If Gretna wanted to get to the SPL they would need a stadium bigger than their town!
What's wrong with standing anyway?!

I used to go to Love Street some times and it was madness in the terraces! I’ll never forget the Morton Fans trying to get over the fence chanting “your going home in a Greenock ambulance”

hoho, those crazy Morton fans! Just a bit of fun.
Standing still beats sitting, hands down. The atmosphere in a decent terracing is fantastic. I would love to see some terracing at Bayview.
As long as a ground has a safety certificate, it should be good enough for the SPL. I mean, the SPL's pish anyway.

I’ve been in the terracing at a Skol cup final at Hamden. What a great atmosphere it was! I hate Hamden now.

The rule is a piece of nonsense. Caley would survive in the SPL I reckon so why not let them up. Besides, how often will they fill 10,000 seats anyways?
The unfortunate arguement coming out now is that because Caley Thistle have a wide fan base across the North of Scotland, they are likely to get as high a crowd at Pittodrie as in Inverness, leaving behind many of the supporters that have followed them through thick and thin.
Hope you get it sorted out guys
