I would doubt that there will be any streams available for this game, as I do not believe any UK broadcasters are covering the game.

Luckily for me at least It's only 5 miles from where I live, so it's easier to get to than a City home game. Just hope we don't get beat, as I will get some serious stick from the locals ;)

On a separate point what does the [R] signify in the thread title ?

If no UK broadcasters are picking the match up I wonder if the website is going to be streaming it for free like the SA friendlies?

[R] means official match thread or something of that nature. I should know, lol, but I am not certain.

Checked out MP2P.eu earlier, and the the game is not listed, not heard mention of anything on the OS.

To get a stream on the OS, City would have to employ a TV production company to cover the game. I would have thought this would be unlikely, but you never know. It would be a shame as in the SA games half the team were reserves or players who have now left. I would expect us to field a much stronger team on Saturday, and hopefully if fit, it would give Blues fans who couldn't make it to Oakwell a first view of Tevez, RSC & Toure.

Irrespective I would expect the 2 following games against The Old Firm to be televised, and streams to be available either on the OS or other sites.

# [R] means official... obvious isn't it lol... are only mods allowed to start them, or can they be started by the great unwashed such as myself ?

Either way CB thanks for the answer :)

Of course you can start them, usually when I am slacking on my duties here at the board someone else will start match threads and throw the [R] in there. You are prob right about the streams, seems unlikely, definitely more likely to have Rangers & Celtic televised. Either way, since we know you are going we expect a full match report now :D

Doesn't [R] refer to results and the fact that information like scores and such is given away?

Will do my best, though the quality of said report may depend on quantity of alcohol consumed, don't expect War & Peace ;)

Thats what I always thought it meant.

Like, "hey, heads up before you click in this forum, the result might be posted".

A warning for those that haven't watched the match yet, and plan to when they get home.

I see, well I guess this thread qualifies since the result may be posted in the thread at some point :D Cheers gents for clearing that up.

Regarding the [R] thing...

I would have thought you don't have to be Einstein to realize that after kick off time/final whistle, a match thread will have comments about how the match has progressed and the final result.

Just an observation, and it obviously is a protocol that has evolved on Big soccer or similar forums. quite funny when you think about it :D

Yeah, it beggers belief that anyone would go on a soccer forum to discuss soccer if they were waiting to watch a match.

Use your noggin!

Toure hurt?

What's up with that.

Toure sub looks to be a precaution as he took a knock after blocking a well-struck shot on goal. We can hope, anyway.

This result isn't really some thing to worry about. We had two of our six new signings on the field to start and before either of us scored both were off. Have to wait till the Old Firm matches to see where the team really stands and gain insight into how long it will likely take for them to gel.

The biggest bit I took from it is that TBH needs to be sold or cold by the 15th. He is a liability in every sense. He is being kept on as a depth player but he is bullocks and doesn't provide much of anything. Even worse, he injured Barry in training; you cannot get much more destructive than potentially hobbling one of the three (Barry, Toure, and the centre-half we are going after) players that will decide our fate come the new campaign. In the few minutes he was on he let in a goal, committed two fouls, one being a nasty affair that has been described by a supporter there early as something our U16s would know not to do at all costs, and showed very little positioning sense.

Petrov's goal was nothing to gab about, though. He didn't really do much in the way of skill to put it in. It was more off him than through him.

Ugh, way to go Ben Haim... One of the worse things you can do is injure your own teammate during a training session, there's just no excuse for that. You should never be going in so hard that there's a chance that you'd injure someone.
