Mark Yeates is getting his debut. Cool!
Also, go to www.spurs.co.uk to see Robinson in next seasons Spurs GK kit. Very green.
In your face, Leeds!

Just took a look at the home page. Excellent. Hope we have a few more youngersters out there as well.

Mabizela and Marney are also in the 18 man squad. Stephen Kelly will start again as right back, hopefully Mabizela will also play and I'm looking forward to seeing Yeates out there.

Great to see so many young players getting time. But I do hope we win. We finished dangerously close to relegation, and I'd like to think of Spurs as mid-table during our exciting off-season.
Losing to a relegated Wolves would typify our season. Capable, but just not getting it done on both offense and defense at the same time.

Our squad for today is;
Spurs: Keller, Kelly, Ziege, Gardner, King, Brown, Redknapp, Ricketts, Yeates, Defoe, Keane. Subs: Burch, Kanoute, Doherty, Poyet, Mabizela
29mins: SAVE. Deep cross by Yeates picked out Ricketts at far post, first-time volley from 15 yards superbly tipped over by Jones.
33mins: GOAL. Yeates injected pace into move, fed Keane into box, first effort saved but slid rebound in off the post. 1-0.
It would appear that Yeates is having a good game!

DEFOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
2-0 to Spurs!
Ince is sent off! Rubbish!
56mins: GOAL. Cort back pass too short for Jones, Defoe nipped in, nipped around Jones and slotted home. 2-0.
67mins: YELLOW/RED. Second yellow for Ince, hacked Redknapp after 50-50 between the pair.

78mins: SAVE. Lovely pass from Yeates to Kanoute, wriggled away from Butler, snapshot deflected and Jones did well to save with feet.
Man, Yeates is having a cracker!

88mins: WOODWORK/SAVE. Kept possession for ages, Poyet rolled into Ziege, into Defoe who aimed for near post only for Jones to tip onto post
Darn it!

14th we are then. Shame we couldn't get above Portsmouth on goal difference as they won so big today, but at least we finished the season closer in points to Newcastle and the UEFA cup in 5th place than to Leicester who finished 3rd from bottom. That's really encouraging when you think about it, as is the fact that we ended the season with 2 wins in 2 games and a very young team, 7 of the first 11 today aged 23 or less.
Jermaine Defoe is the new God for me. Can't wait to see him in a full season with us next year, I also hope he's done enough to get to Euro 2004. Such a great talent, get a stronger and more creative midfield behind him in the summer and he'll be frightening.
Yeates is a very bright young talent. Hope he'll get some games next year, although at worst he would have no problem getting a loan with a decent division 1 team.

Great job today. How did our team line up? I'm guessing King partnered Gardner in center, but how was the midfield played? Was it a flat 4? It almost sounds like a box midfield with Yeates and Ricketts in front as attacking mids with Brown and Redknapp behind them playing Dmids.
How did Stephen Kelly play? How were our fullbacks in general?

Yeates has been described to play in the same was as Robbie Keane does. Didn't really see it though, ITV's Premiership coverage of anyone other than Manchester Red, North London Red and West London Blue (to give their Pro Evo names) is appalling.
ITV's teletext pundit The Guvnor was rubbish too, 3-0 to Wolves really... and he got sent off too! Well Mince did.
Ending on a high, not the lowest ever finish either (that's 15th).

Ricketts was on the left of midfield, Yeates was the on the right, Kelly was right back and did well defensively apparently but still needs more experience. Ziege was left back and played ok again, in his last ever match for us.
