Can we sticky this? I think there needs to be at the very least a Rangers and Celtic board. They have them for the Italian clubs, why not the Scottish ones?

I think Scotland should have it's own board, as nobody really talks about Ireland or Wales. but I don't think Celtic or Rangers are big enough for their own boards. For example, how many threads about either Celtic or Rangers have 50 or more replies?
p.s. The "Is Celtic that good or is MLS that bad does not count as it has moved away from Celtic completely.

There are Rangers, Celtic and an Old firm board on the bbc website.

Try www.etims.net if you're looking for a really good Celtic site.
Try www.followfollow.com if you're after entertainment.

Yes, go to these sites and see that OF fans are true football fans, who are not bothered by the baggage of sectarianism.
........Oh wait..

I know that, I even share a flat with a h...sorry, Rangers fan.
It's just that, whenever I get stuck into the old firm about their biggotry, I'm often shouted down as some derranged 'wee team' fan who is jealous (HAHAHAHAHA) of the old firm's success. However, one look at a site like www.follow-follow.com would seriously open some people's eyes.
I went on there one night whilst I was working, to wind them up, and some of the topics they were discussing was disgraceful. Some of the member names to too, it's all "proddy" this or "loyal" that.

I was talking to a deluded Dutch guy on world rivalries yesterday who was coming out with all sorts of nonsense about the IRA and orange scum and so and so on. Personally I don’t care but saying things like that to the wrong person could get you in a lot of trouble! I admit I know a lot of what I would call 90 minute bigots. I used to be one myself but I realised that even that is not really acceptable, as for real die hard nutters I think I only know one. I tend to avoid him as much as I can which is easier now that I’m in London!

To be honest, I'm past caring about the reasons why there's all this biggotry, it just pisses me off that it has affected the Scottish game in such a bad way.
I know that there are real OF fans and I know that there are bigots who support the OF for sectarian reasons and I know there are just your regular, run-of-the-mill glory hunter. However, most of these glory hunters, I'm willing to bet, support them for sectarian reasons i.e. from their father or grandfather.

There the ones who desert them during times like this. I got into Rangers through my Uncle. Ibrox was the first football ground i went to and i loved it. I was hooked after that. Really my local team should probably be St Mirren. I do look out for there scores but Rangers were and will alway be my team. I guess St Mirren is a great example of a team that suffers because of the old firm. The amount of buses that leave paisley every Saturday for Ibrox or Parkhead is frightening. Considering Paisley is a pretty big town, the attendances you get at Love Street are very poor.

This is the de facto "Scotland Board" as evidenced by the fact that no-one comes here to talk about NornIreland or Wales except during WCQ and ECQ, in which case it is nice to have some place to talk about those minnows and discuss their slight chances. So, there you go, pay no attention to the title, Scotland board it is.
As for individual team boards, please. There's only about ten of us who regularly post here. It's a demand and supply thing. And I mean demmand as in post count not demmand as in whining.
I'll admit there are other boards more team-specific. That's cool, use them if you don't get the atmosphere you like here. Or, better yet, talk some people into trying BS. I like being able to jump over to the Barcelona or Liverpool or Valencia boards and wind them up before a big match. Anyway, I'm just the mod and those boards don't have the MLS and USA stuff that I also use BS for, so here I stay.
As for the sectarian stuff. I haven't seen much except one or two retards who do it out of spite and usually go away after a tounge-lashing. The rest is just (to us) silly newbie questions. Hell, I got a private e-mail from some bloke yesterday thanking me for that unfinished Celtic-Rangers FAQ stickied up there. So at least we're educating some folks.
Okay, rant over. I have to go get worked up for my F***ing Rivaldo's a Has-Been Waste of Money rant.

1. This has come up before and the Administrators logic, which is unfortunately born out by numbers, is there's not enough traffic to warrant separate fora for the teams, even the OF.
2. Bigotry is bigotry and I've seen my share of numbskulls on both side of the Glesga devide. ******** 'em. I'm personally good friends with a group of (acutal real live Scottish) folks from both Green and Blue persausion who have managed to figure out that we're all human even if some people have a terrible choice (or unlucky inheritence) of fitba club.
Some of you might enjoy this from one of my favorites, Michael Marra (and him an Arab). His last album is utterly genius.
BOTANIC ENDGAME
Michael Marra from "Posted Sober"
Take a cab down town and meet a man called Seamus
Shake him by the hand tell him all is well
Rendezvous with Billy in the Bar
You’ll be shown to a room in the York Hotel
These boys never heard of tentative gambits
They’re more or less nuttin’ so you must take care
They’ll all have pieces and they’ll all be frowning
Alarm clock ticking on a beer mat there
Half Hearted Henno from the Crumlin Road
Sweet little Fraoich from the South Armagh
And the one killed a Bishop crying ‘No Surrender’
The other hits a Knight and it’s ‘Tiocfaidh Ar La’
Heavies from the Falls and the Shankill Road
One step forward and one to the side
There’s a big man coming all the way from Derry
Another who’ll be training it from Malahide
You can rely on Seamus
He’ll make sure all is well
But your constitution must be strong
For the Chess Club meetin’ at the York Hotel

We are not all bad.
This stands for every club.
It's true that a lot of these club-specific boards unfortunatly have a backbround subculture of sectarianism (both teams). That's why I like BS, because it doesn't come up even as an issue - I like being able to read threads with Celtic and Rangers fans having a normal discussion, which is pretty difficult in other places.

If you are going to create one for these two, you have to do it for the rest of the SPL teams, that would only be the right way to do it.
