When do Brighton, Bristol, Hartepool, and Swindon play the div 2 playoffs for promotion to Division One?

And wasn't Hartepool just in the conference 3 or 4 years ago?

Hartlepool's historical record makes them one of the least successful clubs in England. They hold the record for "re-election" back into the Football League.

[Some years ago, before the non-league Pyramid was established, there was no automatic relegation and promotion between the FL and lower leagues - teams finishing in the bottom 4 places of Div 4 were subjected to a vote as to whether they could continue in the League.]

However, they always succeeded in keeping their place, so have never been in the Conference.

Their near neighbours Darlington were, a few years back, however.

Thanks. Given Hartepool's history, that may be why I was thinking they were in the conference. But that is why I asked. :)
