When Arsenal make the 45-minute drive across the border into Hungary Monday to face Szombathelyi Haladas, they'll be crossing what once was the infamous "Iron Curtain." Last year we visited the Hungarian border town and played "Hali" to a 1-1 draw. Hali was preparing for a season in the Hungarian league's top flight after winning its second division in 2007/2008. In 2008/2009, the club achieved its best season ever, finishing third in Hungary's top flight and qualifying for the Europa League.

The game last year saw Carlos Vela's Arsenal debut and Gavin Hoyte (what ever happened to him?) not-quite-clear a goal off the line. Walcott scored Arsenal's only goal.
