Zhirkov hasn't been used nearly as much and A.Cole for some reason hasn't ventured forward as often as he does with Malouda.
Probably understandable. He knows Malouda's runs and movement a lot better.

Milan are closing down well, that's certainly true but I think we're making it easy for them atm.
I think it difficult for our team because we're not moving fast enough off the ball. Milan are constantly on the move and they pressure far more off the ball. More importantly I just don't think Lamps is suited for that role. We lose his distribution from deeper from midfield(although I think it will make Mikel at least involved in hitting passes from his deep lying spot. Big problem though is that Seedorf and Ronaldinho have kept as close as they can to Mikel when we're in possession. Lamps has come back to relieve pressure and that leaves a gap between the him, Drogba and Anelka. We need a bit more speed through the center of the park.

Sure that's to be expected but I can remember one time that he ventured forward after Drogba scored.

Also, where is Belletti playing? Right side of midfield?
Yeah, he's been on the right side but I've noticed him and Lampard switch between each others positions a lot, Belletti taking the point of the diamond and Lampard floating to the right.
Would like to see Essien on in the 2nd half for Belletti. Is he available tonight?
Doesn't look like we have made any changes during the interval, though.

Good chance for Anelka. The angle was always going to be difficult from there, though.
Energy is high on both ends of the field. Seedorf almost had a volly there in the corner of Cech's net.

Belletti's been tired from the look of it. Essien on would be nice.

I agree, and AC Milan are exploiting the space Belletti is allowing them to have. If Essien is on the bench and available it would be nice to see him soon.

He's doing OK there but I just don't think he offers enough going the other way so they're not being forced back enough.

AC Milan are getting too many opportunities and we cannot keep possession. Looking for Carlo to start making some changes now, particularly in midfield.
