I know this is not the most import factor off football today but I just want to know which country is your'e favorite, when it comes to technical, tacticall and beautifull soccer!
My top 3 would be:
1. Holland - The country who invented total soccer! Players like Davids, Van Nistelrooy, VdVaart and Kluivert could make the difference on Euro 2004! I often wonder why this country never, ever won a world championship! They produced the best football-players in history --- Cruijff, Van Basten
This country plays such a beautifull game of footie, it's a real treat to watch them play!! Besides the brasilian wonderboys, they are technical superb and tacticall brilliant! Every touch on the ball is like a Bergkamp play, they do it with flair! Holland is one of my favorites for the European championship of 2004!
2. France - The main favorites for Euro2004. Players like Zidane, Henry, Pires and Vieria are big players who can shine at this tournament! France always produce a good game of tacticall football, but in my opinion are depending to much on the technical qualities off Zinedine Zidane! It's always a pleassure to watch the Frenchies play! It's a mix of everything, talent, technical, tacticall play!
3. England - I always like to watch England play! Players like Scholes, Gerrard, Owen and Rooney deserve a top4 finish! They never seem to give up and the play is always fast! Technically they are not brilliant, but when it comes to never giving up, they are trully the best there ever will be! I hope the final off Euro2004 will be England vs Holland! The rough vs The beautifull
What's your'e top 3??

I agree with the exception of England. I'd put Spain there instead. Italy would get the DAMNED LAST place! (Yes, I admit, I dislike the Italian way of football)

Maybe the Czechs could get in as well??
I think they should, anyway.
They have an excellent attack and offensive midfield, so it's relly nice to watch. Too bad that their defence and defensive midfield (good goalkeeper though) is not as good, and that's where they will have problems.
I agree with Holland and France and Spain.
Spain has the same problems as the Czechs, and I'm sure Holland (finally) is better off without de Boer.

Are you nuts??? We have the luxory to play 4-4-2 OR 4-3-3 with excellent wingers. We can apply the formation for different kinds of opposition (offensive or defensive-minded teams) Against Greece we played with a diamond middle and raped the greek side with a B-team. (4-0) And if you still have any doubts about attractive football regarding Holland.. watch the game Holland-Scotland.
HV-20: De Boer quit Holland. He won't be called again. Besides, we have better players :) >>> J.Heitinga, aged 20. (he's the guy who held Cisse AND Thierry Henry during the friendly against France) (0-0)

sorry, i'm not an english teacher, but I think saying "better off" means that I think they are lucky he quit.
He was the player most prone to make mistakes and have lapses of cocentration and was the weak link in defence.
I'm sure there are good youngsters to partner Stam outthere.

You have just proved my point offside!
That just goes to prove you dont have an idea what system your going to play or players your going to use.
I wouldn't call it a luxury, id call it indesition.

Hold the celebrations. You forget that the system has been tested. After the game, the game was analysed and the conclusion:
FORMATION: 4-4-2 (>>against defensive opponents<<)
-----------------VdSar-----------------
DeJong-----Stam---Heitinga------Zenden
----------------Seedorf-----------------
VdMeyde-------------------------Robben
----------------VdVaart-----------------
----------Makaay----VNistelrooy---------
FORMATION: 4-3-3 (>>wingers, against offensive opponents<<)
----------------VdSar------------------
DeJong-----Stam---Heitinga------Bouma
-----Snijder-----VdVaart-----Davids-----
---VdMeyde----VNistelrooy----Robben---
*Players are variable for obvious reasons
P.S What does 'indesition' mean?

He said Holland is better off without de boer...which means holland is a better team without de boer...I think you were just a bit confused about the way he used the phrase "better off"...
Now VNistelrooy hasnt been of the best form in the past month or so...does holland have a deep forward lineup?

Spain doesn't have defensive problems.
Salgado,Helguera,Marchena,Puyol is a pretty good defensive line.
Albelda is one of the best European defensive midfielders.
And Casillas is a world class goalkeeper.

de Boer RETIRED from the national scene and the other is a BENCHsitter because we have HEITINGA So we don't have any defensive problems :) Van Nistelrooy is getting into shape. HE played today, scored one and played a good game. besides we have Roy Makaay, Patrick kluivert, Pierre van Hooidonk, Hasselbaink (maybe) Pure class. And we use only 1 (4-3-3) or 2 (4-4-2) strikers per game, so we won't have a shoratge of strikers (normally)

Am I reading this right, are you asking if we have anyone to replace RvN should there be a problem? How about Makaay, Kluivert, Van Hooijdonk, Van der Vaart? If there's one problem Holland don't have it's a lack of strikers.

The only contested place left is the right midfield position I reckon - Van Bommel, Sneijder or Seedorf.

We saw the games where van Bommel started. In the second half d|ck advocaat replaced him with Snijder and the team played better. Seedorf is still a qustionmark. he did play decent with the diamond 4-4-2 formation, But I rather see Snijder there.

Salgado and Puyol to play sidebacks, right?
They're both rightfooted, and Helguera is a midfielder and a cause of Real's downfall- I'm still trying to decide was it him or desailly who looked the most ridiculous centreback this year.
I'm really not that convinced. Luckily you can rely on your attack to outscore your opponent.
Is Casillas cosidered untouchable in goal? I would prefer Molina despite his occasional mistakes.
