I'm at 17338153. Could be a high scoring affair with the new striker I bought. I have put yours on to HT-Live to watch it. Good luck to everyone this week.

Up 6-0 to the cellar dwellar...
But lost an IM to double yellows...
Lost my leading scorer due to injury...
and a starting winger to injury...
I should take over first place though. :)

INMHO my match was a WTF match. Only thing I can think of was that I lost because of a different formation?? I don't know. He had one more star than I did but we matched up everywhere evenly. Oh well. the ID is 17295172 if you guys want to check it out..

I am finally in first place for the first time ever. Virtual cigars, escorts and drinks for everyone! ;)
I take over first place solely on goal differential. I host the #3 team in a couple of weeks at my place and finish the season against the #2 (div IV dropout) at my place. I'm in the catbird seat now baby. Just gotta take care of business, and get my boy's outta the nurse's office!

Won 7-0. Lost a middie and defender to red card suspensions, and a winger to yellow card suspension. My new striker scored and my attack ratings seemed to be much improved with him. All in all very nice.

Although both your your midfields are wretched, it looks like yours is not quite as good as his... actually, that may just be home field advantage, but the difference in midfield went his way in the second half. He probably has better stamina.
Other than that... looks like the number of reported chances went in your opponent's favor. He got 6 chances and got four goals. You went 1 for 1.
Statistically I agree, sortofa WTF. Your confidence low? You didn't even get a reported opportunity in the 2nd half. Dunno what else to tell you.

Spiro: As far as the scoreline, it happens, just ask Kopite. I'm not sure this is really a WTF game though, it could have gone either way.

I won my match 3-0 against the last place team in the series... (I get a kick out of beating him because he finished first in the series last season.) I had FIVE missed chances and scored one of my goals off a freekick. I'm concerned going into my next league match against the team three points behind me. I PICed last two matches so my team spirit is delerious at the moment, but his midfield is a lot better than mine. (I won our previous meeting in a 6-5 shootout at his place.) I'm toying with motsing next week and trying to push my midfield over the top. How bad would the TS hit be if I MOTS on delerious TS?

thankfully, my confidence is decent. ts is composed. supporters are satisfied, and sponsors are high on life.
Sux to have my chances for first end like this. Was hoping on making a run for it until the last game. Oh well.

lost 5-0 pic against the numer 1 team in the series, who has a solid midfield against my normal weak, so it wasn't a surprise. Here is my line up for the game tonight, in bold are the players that will start the cup match this week.

I won 3-1 vs the #4 (now #5) team and am now only 2 points behind him and 3 points behind th new 4th place team (which I tied 3-3 the week before). My goal is to finish in the top half of the league this year, since the top 2 spots are already unreachable (30 and 27 points while I have 10) and 3rd is pretty far out of the way (18).
Here was my lineup:
Hövel - Puig, Barrero, Vogeler - Lockwood, Yan-Ming, Solheim, Purdy - Lara, Portillo, Bourque

I unveiled an awesome new tactic in my 4-2 win away from home yesterday......injure your opponents goalie. Thats right, I knocked him on his butt, and then scored 4 unanswered goals over the next 29 minutes. crunchers never knew what hit him. His team was so rattled, they even missed a penalty kick.
:)
In all seriousness, this was a huge win for me. I expected to lose the past two games, both away, and fight from there to stay above the relegation line. Instead, I stole 4 points and moved within 2 points of the lead (4 points ahead of 3rd place). Since starting the season 0-1-2 (1 point), I've gone on a 6-1-0 (19 points) tear. It's been pretty fun!

Won 4-0.
I'm in 4th right now, level on points with number 5. In goal differential, I'm at +7 and he's at -12. Assuming things break as they should in the other games and I beat him in a fortnight, we'll end up level on points. I'm glad I've got that big GD edge.

I was losing 2-0 early but came back to win 4-2
This left me in third, level on points with second, who only managed a draw.
I have to play #1 at home next week. :(

Hrm... strange, I can't seem to find the "Hack & Maim" option on the match tactics menu. :)
I lost to the #7 team 3-2. (Match 17281504) Was down 2-0 by the 6th minute and down 3-0 at halftime. Managed to pull 2 back, but just couldn't get the 3rd. A couple of positives though - won midfield & posession for the first time ever. Also managed my 2nd sell-out crowd of the season. Think maybe it's time to expand.

Lost my game away 4-1 against the 3rd place team. The race for 4th place (i.e., to avoid a playoff game) is heating up nicely. There are three teams within 5 points of each other in 4th-6th place (I'm 3 points out of 4th).

Hrm... strange, I can't seem to find the "Hack & Maim" option on the match tactics menu. :)The correct way to play this tactic is to put eleven "fiery" players in your starting lineup. :p
