from www.pesinsight.com
- More master league teams; 138 teams
- Real team names from leagues in Spain, Italy, England, Germany, France and Holland
- A total of more than 200 club and national teams
- More elements added to the development/retirement of master league players
- 1 of 2 players can take a free-kick (2 people stood over the ball)
- New modes for through pass and centering allowing more control to the player
- New feint turn and ball control techniques
- New soccer rules and game control help screens
- User-friendly pause menu with quick control view
- Referees will be seen on pitch during the game, and according to the pitch conditions, wear and tear/dirt will be see on the player's uniforms
- Editable trophy and league names
- JFA licenced Japan A team and Japan under 23 team
So from the above I assume there is now over 130 club teams, there are now licenses for several of the teams (like AS Roma/Juventus/Parma, etc in we7) and you can change the names of the different regional Master Leagues. So now we can play in SerieA or the EPL and actually qualify for the "Champions League" with a little editing.

i do more than welcome the death of filthy ea and their absolute garbage fifa series but on the other hand it is very not a good idea that konami monopolizes the market.

WE will enver bury FIFA...
those stubborn FIFA users will never admit that WE is better. They'll continue to buy FIFA regardless of the game quality.

I won't.
I bought WE7 a few months back.
I don't intend to play FIFA again.

I only play demos of FIFA each year, but I don't plan to play FIFA ever again unless they make a Completely drastic change.
Also, if that list is true, they need to drop the LA Galaxy because EA owns the rights to produce a game w/ an MLS license right now, so EA would be quick to force a lawsuit to prevent WE8 from being released

It would be nice if Winning Eleven 8 could include stadiums like the Home Depot Center, Gilllette Stadium, the Bombanera, and Santiago Bernabeau

The last two you mentioned are in the game, just not named correctly due to licensing issues. However, you can change the names of the stadiums using the option file editors.
About the other stadiums... I agree I think having the MLS stadiums would be great. However, I imagine they take a long time to create and our stadiums are pretty far down on the list. The only one i can see them making would be the HDC because it is the USMNT home and it seems they are going to have the Galaxy in the next game.

I also want to know this. I have a new computer, and I don't want to buy a PS just for Winning Eleven. I've only played Fifa games before, but i'd like to switch, especially if they get licensing.

This is my point. I'm a loyal FIFA user because I can't play WE on my system in my country. If they had the balls to release it, i'd buy it.

But EA (to my knowledge) doesn't own exclusive rights to make a game with the MLS. Konami made an MLS game a few years ago (MLS Extratime), and Atari uses the MLS with Backyard Soccer. I don't know if that list is true...but it's very possible that if they don't have the MLS license, they could just have a team with Galaxy players and call it "Los Angeles" or something. That wouldn't impinge upon the MLS license.

They've already announced that the next version will be released on the XBox for Europe. No announcement yet for the US, but my guess is that they'll release it here if they release it there, since only minimal changes need to be done to the game to release it in the States.
Also, they haven't announced anything about online play with WE8. There are rumors that it will be online....but nothing definite yet.
