Yup, its that time again. Iirc, we had this thread for the 09 version of these games. Well to be honest, after playing both games exstensively you can give your opinion here...
But mainly, here is some new footage for both games.

Some random features for each game:
- 360 degree dribbling in FIFA 10
- customizable set pieces in FIFA 10
- UEFA CL and EUROPA in the game, as well as the Master League.
- More realistic currency in ML [meh!]
- PES copied FIFA's slider tactics. But also took away the special ability stars, but replaced them with cards... watch video...
More to come.

I think FIFA has been catching up over the last 2 years, tbh.

For the record, the greatest game is 10 years old now - FIFA '99 is the shit. :D

I also think PES has been going backwards the last two years, tbh.
If PES doesn't dramatically improve, I probably won't buy the new version for the first time since it came out in the US.

Damn right dude. That game has more replay than anything I've ever played.

Fifa 98 Road to World Cup was better than 99 tbh, 99 was just an updated 98. Plus 98 had indoor stadium mode, I probably played that the most out of any football game mode ever.

PES has been going down, but having said that I still find myself preferring PES because their gameplay is simply still more realistic. I can't take FIFA seriously if they insist programming the ball on the invisible string. It's like they've never played the game before.

I'd get PES just for Master League. Its beyond addicting.

A-Freakin'-Men. Didn't that game have an obscene amount of teams to choose from as well? I remember playing with Trinidad. Indoor was the shit as well!

Playing that game on N64 with Canada is one of my fondest memories of gaming.

Man I've never played 98. Might pick it up and do my best to "update" the rosters.

Ha, good luck. But RTWC 98 is the best FIFA game I've ever played. Like others have said, the indoor game was fantastic.

FIFA 09 was comfortably the better of the two last year.
And you're all idiots - ISS Pro Evolution 2 unto RTWC 98 defines what Alan Pardew meant when he used the word rape.

It was close for me. I bought both games. Started with FIFA, but when PES came out, I switched back to see what was up. Both games have some really bad issues taht stick out.
Mainly for me, in both games. The keepers sucked. Too many goals that were no less than a half a foot from the keepers original position, get in [on PES].
In FIFA 09 the shooting system is the whackest.

A-Freakin'-Men. Didn't that game have an obscene amount of teams to choose from as well? I remember playing with Trinidad. Indoor was the shit as well!Forget that, I remember playing as the Cook Islands on Road to the World Cup. My only gripe was how overrated Ronaldo was (over 90 on EVERYTHING, inclduing defensive attributes iirc) and the leaning towards older players invariably being better players. Oh, and if I am correct you couldn't actually play IN the World Cup in it, which was a bit arse. Still though, unreal game. The indoor option was great fun! :D
Either Fifa '98 RttWC or PES3 (was it?) has to take it.
