I'm planning a trip to London from January 5 to the 15th of 2005. I just have a few questions for Londoners, especially you Spurs fans. Answer what you can:
1. When do the fixtures lists come out? If they come out soon I'd rather wait to make sure there is a game at this time. If they don't com eout for awhile I need to bite now and but the tickets while they are cheap.
2. What is a good Tottenham pub to go to? You know one where they smil upon Spurs fans, and have lots of great Spurs moments on the walls and such.
3. Whats a nice place to stay near the Lane?
4. And whats the deal on practices? Can I watch them? When and where do they normally have them? Can i meet players after the practices?
Thanks.

1) Fixtures usually come out in mid July
2) The Bank of Friendship in Blackstock Road is well named and you can be assured of a warm welcome
3) Pentonville or Brixton would probably be best for you
4) They don't really practice much - but if you ring the ground and let them know what time you are getting there they will probably fit you in to the first team for a premiership match! make sure you bring your boots.
Joser, do not listen to this man. He is an evil Arse fan who wants you to get swamped by lots of Arsenal fans (in Pentoville and Brixton PRISON, where I believe most hang out).
1) ... (you can check the spurs website at www.spurs.co.uk)
2) There's loads of pubs on the seven sisters road up to the ground and they're all pro spurs. A couple of pubs next to the stadium have all the pictures, merchandise and such.
3) You're best staying in central London near a Victoria Line (Underground) station such as Euston or Warren Street as it's only a 20 min tube ride away, alternatively there's loads of hotels in Finsbury Park, although this is near Arsenal's Scumbury ground so the smell from the stadium may put you off.
4) The reserves play in the week and you can usually get very cheap or even free tickets (if your a member).
It's well worth signing up as a member from next season as it's much easier to get tickets (almost guaranteed if your early). It's 30 pounds online and you get a few concessions and newsletters etc. with it.

the actual area around WHL is pretty nasty, you don't want to stay in tottenham itself. stay in central london somewhere, but be ready to part with a lot of cash. it's an expensive town. $6 a pint in central london. on matchdays, the cockerel which is about 5 mins past the ground if you're coming from seven sisters is always packed. you may also get to see some exciting hoolie action if you drink in there, i once had to beat a hasty retreat when we played chelsea. as to practices, spurs lodge is out near chigwell. i don't really know what the deal is, i think you can sometimes watch. and i believe if you stand at the gates when they're leaving they will usuall stop and sign autographs etc. you will also get to see the line of luxury cars that you've helped to pay for through the cost of your ticket.
