I am really wanting to buy this game. I have heard and read such great things about it. However, I have only seen it for sale for $40 or so. I did explore ebay and found some on there for $18 or so, but they ship from Thailand without instruction booklets. Does anyone know of a website or a store here in the States that sells this game at a cheaper price. If worse comes to worse, I will pay the $40, but I just wanted to ask people before I made the purchse. Thanks!

Not available in the states, the closest option is Canada. I think its www.gogamer.com or www.gogamer.net.

How new is the game? Because I know Chicago has lots of used stores where you might be able to find the game at a discount.

Those games are tough, I never could score a goal when I played!!!

get it on ebay, it will probably be the cheapest.

That is what I was thinking about doing, but I want the instructions in English and also, I can't seem to find one that is shipping within the US. Everything is from Thailand. I will have to keep my eyes open for it. Thanks!

Congrats. I do not know how to play this game, but I have heard great things. I can't wait to get it. I am going on vacation for two weeks and when i get back, the game should be here.

If you've never played CM before and actually get into it - prepare to seemingly vanish off the face of the earth for 4-6 weeks :). Happened to me last April-early May.

I got a copy about a year ago off kazaa. But, without instructions, I'm pretty sure I was not getting my maximum enjoyment out of the game.

So I play the Sick As A Parrot demo every few months, instead. ;)

I don't know why CM should be too tough. Anyway, if you need help:
www.thedugout.net > very useful site with recommended players, tactics, downloads, guides and is the biggest in the scene.
www.thedugout.tv > TD forums, a very big forum where you will be helped in no-time. My favourite forum :)

For the love of god, buy a LEGAL copy. Don't buy an illegal copy from Thailand.

EEEE VVV IIIIIIIIIIII LLLL ! ! ! ! !

At least you're not supporting the people over in China, Russia, Thailand, et al. making illegal copies and then actually selling them. ;)

I know. I've been avoiding buying it for that reason. I'm hoping I can wait until CM 5 comes out to buy CM 4. That way I fall onto the cheap end of the cycle for buying.

saw where I can buy it from Chips and Bits. Has anyone ever ordered from them?

CM5 has nothing to do with cm4, different developers, different game, just happens they have the same name.

The game you seek will be Football Manager 2005.

I bought CM4 from Chips and Bits and got it in the mail two days later. I chose the cheapest method for shipping and STILL got it only two days later! Very happy with CM4 and Chips and Bits

You should buy cm0304 instead... not that many bugs in the game as cm4

Wait for FM2005 it will be the best of the best.

Not sure if anyone is still looking for the game, but CM4 and 03/04 are available at Fry's electronics here in the Los Angeles area. I believe even the onlder versions are for sale at their website, Outpost.com
