The UEFA cup final is on May 19th. It is being held in Ullevi stadium in Gothenburg. It has a capacity of 44,000. The four teams in the semi finals are Marseille, Newcastle, Valencia and Villareal. Now as a Newcastle fan and season ticket holder i would have liked to go to the Final (if we get there) but UEFA have decided to give only 11,000 tickets to each of the finalists. That means that an astonishing 22,000 or half the stadiums capacity is going to be given to UEFA's hangers-on and coperate stuff. Half the stadium in the UEFA cup final is going to be made up of people who don't even support the two clubs!!! Newcastle have sell-outs crowds of 52,000 every week, Valencia have 60,000 every week and Marseille have 60,000 every week!!!!

This can not contiune! We must bring the game back to the fans. With out the fans there is NO UEFA! With out US there is no money. We pay hundreds of pounds every year to follow our team and when we get to a final we can't go. It's not just the UEFA cup either, the finals of the CL, FA cup, League cup and World Cup finals have had there ticket amounts slashed season after season because they want to give them to sponsers and other "important people" WE ARE THE IMPORTANT PEOPLE!.
The maximum amount of tickets for non-fans should be 500. NO MORE.

STOP THE MADNESS!
STOP UEFA!
GIVE FOOTBALL BACK TO THE FANS!!!!!!!!!!

VIVA LA REVOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you 100%. This has been going on for many years but it has grown worse.

Simple fact: real football fans are more of a nuisance than anything else to these people. Gloryhunters, newcomers, family-day-out. That's where the big bucks are. And they'll never give you any trouble.

Half of those tickets are going to find their way to the black market for a sh!tload of cash btw.

Something can be done about it in the future if you can gather enough die hards from several clubs. With the right network (and enough people bothered about it) this should be possible.
