What formation do you use in FIFA or other soccer games.

I like to use attacking 3-4-1-2 and sometimes switch to attacking 4-4-2 in FIFA 2004.

even though i dont play fifa anymore i always go for a coustomised 4-3-3,playing the middle striker as far up as possable and moveing the other two into wide supporting positions.

attacking 4-4-2 with a CM/DM combo instead of flat-four or a diamond; otherise, 3-4-3 if the team has the right pieces.

I don't use any set tactic for every game. With me it depends on what team I am, what team i'm playing against, what players I have fit, where my opponents weaknesses are, how important the match is, etc.

Depends. If Brasil, a 3-5-2 (WE6/7). That's the best formation for this team IMO. I also used 3-5-2 in my WE6 ML. But I'm using a 4-4-2 diamond midfield for ML in WE7. Here's my team (WE United) so far:

ive been useing 3-4-3 in pes3 lately in master league mode and i must admit im finding it a lot better for keeping the ball,and streching the play.

well currently I am going 5-4-1 completely defensive minded because I am trying out the master league on 5 star and I am at the start so I have the sucky players. Once I pick up Zidane, Henry and Ronaldo I'll go with the 3-3-4. Any tips on how to get out of the dungeon on 5 star? I'm having a tought time.

choose your buys wisely and watch the fatigue levels of your players,is the best honest tip or you could turn it down to three stars until you get promoted,but your kind of cheating then :rolleyes: :D

Im using a 4-2-3-1 right now. I loved how the USA u-20's played using the formation, so I decided to give the formation a go. In the backline, I have Cisse and C.Ayala as my CB's. LeftBack is John O'Brien and my RightBack is Candela. They are essential because they both have moderately good pace and above average long pass skills. In the midfield, I am still using Celini, and Espimas. They do all the dirty work of stopping counters and such. They rarely if ever get much upfield than the center circle. My 3 attacking mids are Solari, Doni, and Ljungberg. Doni plays how Convey did in the U-20 tourney controlling most of the play, while Solari and Ljungberg play like Mapp and Adu, providing width to the attack. Up top is Mario Jardel. Jardel does not have the speed of Johnson, but he does hold the ball up well, and he wins his share of headers. He is very accurate with his headers also.
