Louis van Gaal has said that he wants to trim the squad from 27 to 22 players (including three youth players).

1) Does that mean he wants 22 players plus 3 youth players, or 19 players plus 3 youth players (grand total of 22)?

lell, ottl, borowksi out. in any case one of our CB will leave i think =) breno on loan. van gaal wants RCB (lucio, micho, VB and breno) and LBC (braafheid and badstuber). in any case some of our youths can be part of the 22.

we will have 3 FB (if we get a RB) and 5 CB. i say that cause braafheid can be considered as LB but it seems that he can be a starter CB.

I took it to mean 22 1st team plus 3 youth players ... meaning Müller, Babstuber as two of the 3 (:confused:)

I would consider Breno - loan, Borowski - sale, Toni - sale... not sure from there.

Bayern did not take him back, he simply still has a legal contract with Bayern and that is why he came back, therefore he can also be sold/loaned

Seems like I remember reading somewhere something about Uli telling him that he'd always have a place back at FCB....could be wrong though...but that led me to believe that his place back at Bayern was pretty much locked up. Of course, LvG could have something to say about that matter.

görlitz will stay. he will be our new lell.

lell, borowski and ottl aren't in van gaal plans.
he wants 2 RCB and 2 LCB. 4 CB in total but of course braafheid can be counted as LB too. so lucio, demichelis, van buyten and badstuber + braafheid. breno sent out on loan.

Why would you have Gorlitz on the pitch and Braafheid on the bench as a backup? Wouldn't it make more sense to move Lahm to right and bring on Braafheid at LB? I surely wouldn't have weak talent on the field when there's someone stronger on the bench.....my two €...
