my 2 cents: the czechs, ORANJE & romania should have a nice battle for the top 3 spots - finland and macedonia will be middling, maybe to play a spoiler - armenia & andorra would do well to score 5 goals in 12 matches

Holland and the Chechs will be favorites but I think, at least i hope, Romania can surprise everyone and take one of the top two spots.

the ORANJE... because advocaat will be gone by then
I think Andorra will struggle :)

netherlands because they have ruud van nistelrooy in the front and a solid defense.

Its holland to top the group for me. Romania and Czech Rep to battle it out for 2nd and lets not write off Finland. They have the quality in their squad to challenge any of these teams on their day. Finland would be a good outside bet I reckon.

Oops. How did I overlook this? Confederation specific discussions belong on the confederation boards. I'll move this over there.

Tough to call at the moment.
Will the aging stars off the Chech team still be able to perform at top level?
Will the young stars of the Dutch fulfill the promise they are showing?
Romania - wouldn't be surprised if they topped the group to be honest, with the Cechs and the once again underperforming Dutch battling it out for the second spot.
Finland will win a fair few games and whomever loses to them could rue the lost points at the end of the tourney. They aren't good enough to qualify though.
Macedonia will be spoilers and probably lead the division in drawn games.
The others are just there because UEFA says we have to have them ;)

Holland, cuz there aren't penalty kicks in Group competition! Their young players are just coming on too strong.
I think that the Czechs will just edge out Romania for second place. Neither of those teams will automatically qualify because the Group is just two strong, so the second place team will have to go to a November, 2005, playoff. Hopefully, their luck will be better.

Don't write off the Finns! Great strikeforce- Forssell and Utrecht's rising star Paulus Roiha.
FYR Macedonia won't do ********; just cuz they tied England once doesn't mean anything.
I'm going with the Czechs here, cuz of new stars like Cech, Hubschmann, Zelenka and Baros. The aging thing won't be too much of an issue; Nedved will be 32-33 and Poborsky as well. That's not too bad for midfield, they'll have enough in their tanks to beat off Holland.

I think Romania will take it, they're building a great young team that demonstrated their potential against Germany. Hopefully it will be 94 all over again.

Czech Republic may be a lil bit aged but Nedved and Poborsky will still have something to give but the youth brigade will come to the fore. MIlan Baros, Petr Cech, Tomas Rosicky and a couple members of the u-21 championship team of 2002.
Jan Koller, Marek Jankulovski and Tomas Ujafalsi will be great as well.
Netherlands team is very very strong but may be too young to win against a better 11 for Czech Republic.
Finland have quite a few stars but may just be a bit short of the quality needed for qualification, Mikael Forssell, Sami Hyppia and Anti Niemi.
Romania could be the surprise package in terms of challenging to win.
Adrian Mutu, Cosmin Contra, Christian Chivu and Daniel Pancu wil be chief among a very talented bunch.

Hollad without any doubt. Holland's squad is better than the aging Czech's squad and the youngsters of the Czech republic can't match the talent of the Dutch.
