Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone would be able to give me any information on parking options at Qwest. I just got my tickets for the Barca game! Also, any suggestions for pubs to go to before the game?
Thanks!

Dtone,
There are a couple of parking garages on 4th Avenue just east of Qwest, they have been running $15-20, there is a little free parking after 6pm on 6th avenue just north of Royal Brougham. There are scattered make shift lots all along 1st avenue, and some on 6th avenue as well.
Are you staying the night or driving home afterwards that will influence the answers as well. Can't be much help with the pubs as I am not a drinker myself, but the ECS hangs out at Fuel (http://www.fuelseattle.com/) or McCoys (http://www.mccoysfirehouse.com/) prematch.

edwardgr,
Thank-you for the response! Ill check those places out on google maps, thanks for the advice. I will be driving back to the east-side after the game, so i won't need overnight parking or anything. Ill keep an eye out for rave-green and see which buildings they head too ha.
This will be my 2nd live soccer match (1st was a preseason game in San Antonio a few years ago) so I can't wait!

I should say that all street parking in Seattle is free after 6pm, but finding street parking can be a challenge. Qwest itself of course has parking, but the two times I have parked in it, it took 30 minutes post match just to get out of the lot.

I've never had a problem finding street parking for a Sounders game. Obviously we're talking about 67,000 people instead of the normal 32,000 people, so it's going to be more cramped, but if you get there around 6 for the Barca game, you shouldn't have too much of an issue. You generally want to focus on the Southside of the stadium as the north is generally packed with people visiting the pioneer square area.

Don't forget the Safeco Field garage is open as well. $10 plenty of parking and doesn't take near as long to clear out as the Qwest garage, no construction issues either. It amazes me how few people use this facility.

We will be getting in town a few hours early as far as I know, so we will check for street parking as we can but that Safeco option sounds good to me! thanks for the help guys.
