Of all the things that happen in the course of a week on Hattrick, what do you look forward to most? I love watching the matches, although the excitement from last night's overtime game nearly killed me. My favorite, though, is training time. Having a player pop is one of the most exciting things in the game (for me at least), being able to actually see your team getting better.

What about all of you?

i think winning matches that count excite me the most. making an upset is good too. however, i also do love training. i love seeing my players develop. this is one of the reasons metro is my favorite club. all the young players are becoming better to compete with experienced players in the league

youthpull, definitely. Usually he's crap, but firing him is half the fun.

Competitive matches, league and cup. Private cup matches can be interesting too, although they're less likely to approach the same level of excitement.

Training updates which is coming up here in a bit.

Matches can be fun.

Youth Pulls such as this: Player with ID 30212876 was last seen at a shopping mall with his family. His days of glory are clearly over. Or you might get lucky and get a decent youth pull.

I hate econ updates though because they make me realize I'm still in debt and can't bid on some players.

I love logging on to see how my matches went if I am not around to watch them, I just get excited, hoping that my team didn't low it or something. Second is definitly training though, I mean logging on hoping that the young trainee you bought will pop, great times.

Probably youth pulls or training. Matches really don't mean much since I can pretty much predict if I'm going to win or lose.

I guess I look forward to things more or less in this order:

1. Watching league matches live (usually have all my series matches and a few friends matches up at the same time)

2. Watching US Open Cup matches live

3. Watching friendly matches live (not quite as exciting as the USOC)

4. Training update

5. Youth Pull

6. Various weekly updates (when I have injuries to clear up)

I just love watching the matches, I mean games and results are the main reason why I play Hattrick. Seems wrong to have Youth Pull at #5 since it's still an exciting thing to do, but oh well. Guess I'm jaded from pulling a dozen too many dudes worth less then $5k.

The weeks starts off with Saturday night...econ update and youth pull. My team is still so crappy that a passable or solid in the right position could get me out of debt or win me the game. Sunday is the league game. Wednesday is the Friendly Cup game. Thursday is training.

I guess I enjoy training most right now...I go through my players to see if I can pick out who had form/skill changes. Last week I had a guy in disastrous form pop to passable, and this week I had a guy pop to inad form/passable defense. I have two 20 year olds that are due to pop eventually and then I get to sell them...I think enjoy selling the most actually...especially when the My Hattrick page starts to get flooded with bid notices :-)

Gotta love bidding wars. They can be truly entertaining...and profitable.

Yeah, I have to agree on seeing the bidding items on my hattrick page...

But I really look forward to playing smart opponents. Too often, I play teams that play the same formation/players every time. When I play an attentive human, I'm more nervous than a cat in a room full of rockin' chairs.

Other than that, I really do enjoy 'watching' my games. I've had two close ones the past two weeks.

Popping training, it's nice but I'm usually just looking for form changes now that I know where everyone is skill wise. I have a rough idea of when my players should pop. It's gratifying but it's also expected/routine.

Early season youth pulls during an U-20 year, I just sit there with the cursor over the button trying to figure out what's the exact perfect moment to click and get that week 1 17 year old excellent pm guy so I can train him up and make him a superstar.

My favorite day is definitely on Friday

The most time I spend on Hattrick is the lineup design to make sure I have the optimal training.

Playmaking is funny and requires a lot of headache designing your team. The most difficult is Scoring, as you need to switch at least once a week to 343 to train 5 players.

Or you could just play a 3-4-3 all the time and train 6.

Having only 343 is difficult to maintain in a good level league, you will always need to play the middle when you encounter good opponents.
343 is for goal fest

I guess it would depend on what your goal was. If training was the ultimate goal, then results are not as important. You could play a winger TM as well if you were needing the midfield boost.

I dunno, Elwood did pretty well with all 3-4-3, all the time. (He made it up to Major League, and didn't fall back to division II until he switched to winger training.)
