I need a post of mine deleted in the USA/Mexico Post game thread, page 10.
I used a host that switched images on me I guess due to bandwith leeching and the picture is now very nasty. I would like to avoid a ban, but I guess my edit time is up on that post so I cant edit out the picture. Thanks.

because to me it shows up as the picture i made, as it was cached, and, if you had copied and pasted the link, it was the picture of donovan scoring in WC 2002. but anyway..
ill be the first to say that this deserves a ban, but it still needs to be deleted by a mod anyway. :[

you really need to be more careful about the places you use to get your pics.

i used it to host, not get, but point taken. I dont exactly like loooking at it, but it seems no mods are online or paying attention right now, and I have no means of private messaging them :(

It's not my board, so I can't take care of it, but the mods do know about this. It'll be fixed as soon as possible. In the meantime I'll see if I can't contact someone who has modding rights on this board.
And it isn't the first time there's been an image switch like this on BS.com.

Thanks...once again, Ban away if you must, but the only thing I can say in my defense is it was an honest mistake :[
Sorry to anyone who saw that..

It was gross ... but I've seen the picture on here before. If you say it was an honest mistake, I believe you. I withdraw my request for a red card. But be careful, dude.

I'll just copy what I posted in the US-MEX post-game thread
The problem is that by embedding someone else's images, you're using someone else's bandwidth, and it's probably costing them. I've heard of people being charged as much as $2000 for bandwidth overuse, all due to other internet users linking their images. Tubgirl is a pretty effective way to keep that from happening.
The solution is to either find your own web hosting (free if you can find it) or just link images from official sources (ussoccer.com, etc...), or just don't embed images at all...
