is iTunes really worth the download and paying $1 for each song. Or the whatever price for the album

what do you all think.

By the time i've downloaded my album i could have been to the store and bought the album and back again. lol

I listen to all my music on my computer or iPod anyway, so it's actually nicer just to pay $9.99 for an album and not worry about the CD cluttering up my room or scratching it.
And how fast (or slow?) is your internet connection? I can download multiple albums within minutes.

Unless a CD comes with bonus stuff, I really don't see the point in going an actual store now.

Where else can you get an entire album for $10-13? That pretty damn cheap for an album.

Plus, you can import songs from CD's that you already have for free and burn them onto a mix, and then delete them from your library if you want.

Plus, it's totally safe as opposed to other software that come with adware and people trying to hack into your computer.

The only problem I have with it is that they have to negotiate with the RIAA to get permission to use songs, so they don't have EVERYTHING like Napster used to.

But I think it's great. It's free to download, so give it a shot and check it out. Won't cost you a dime.

I like itunes, though I still prefer to buy my cds in the store.
itunes is great if you just like one or two songs but don't want to get ripped off by buying the entire album.
I just wish they had more choices ... but that time will come, I'm sure.

I've been spending way too much money on the iTunes store lately. iTunes 4.5 should be available to download after the press conference on Wednesday from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

What's new?

I don't use iTunes for singles; I tend to use it for albums, and then only if it's cheaper than the store. If you like the liner notes and cover art and all that, then iTunes is not worth it for you. If like me you care only about the music, then burning a blank cd from your iTunes file should cost you about another quarter. So it's $10.25 vs. $12-16 in the store. And I notice no difference in sound quality using the AAC format that's standard on Mac computers. It's clearly worth it.

The iTunes store is a great way to get obscurities and songs that hit you on a whim quickly & easily.

I've been struggling with some sort of conflict between my desktop PC and the iTunes store, in which I'm not allowed to connect to the store because of some "unknown problem". In cruising some of the Apple & iPod forums, it seems this is some crazy Windows problem that the Apple people can't quite figure out. My laptop, with as far as I can tell the same connection settings, can connect no problem, but I prefer to buy from the iTunes store with my desktop because it has a firewire input, so it's faster.

Don't forget, iTunes Pepsi free song winning caps expire April 30!

I have iTunes at work, which is nice, because it allows one to listen to the songs bought by other people in the office for free.

I use it for singles and stuff, but tend to be old school when it comes to actual albums/CDs.

The new iTunes is awesome.

Just watched the trailer for Will Ferell's new flick, Anchorman. Then I watched June Carter Cash's music video for Wildwood Flower. Now I'm downloading a free Foo Fighters song.

Thank god for Apple!

Download SoulSeek. No adware, and free.

I have that .... you can get a good eclectic mix of songs there, but downloading sometimes takes forever (and I have hi-speed). to me, soulseek is a last resort.
