IMHO, Burton was born to direct this movie.

Also, Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter= worth the price of admission in itself.

I can't be the only one looking forward to it, can I?

There were some great pics from the shoot put up almost a year ago, and I've been really looking forward to the film.

I really love the dress and coat on Alice in these pics.

Elsewhere, somebody wrote that this should just be called Tim Burton Movie #7 or whatever.

Alice in Wonderland + Tim Burton + Johnny Depp? That's just the product of the laziest, least imaginative marketing department in Hollywood. I bet anything it has a score by Danny Elfman.

No kidding. If Johnny Depp died, Tim Burton would be out of work . . . for good.

From that site:

Plot:
“Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn’t remember.”

So it's actually kind of a sequel to the actual Alice in Wonderland story.

That frees Burton up to tell whatever story likes.

Too bad, since storytelling is the one thing he sucks most at.

Hmm, I'm not really sure how you can hold the fact that he casts the same actors in many of his movies against him. So did (and does) Scorcese.
