Anthony Peters, a central defender who saw a few minutes in our first USOC play-in match against FC Dallas and subsequently went on loan to the USL, has been waived.
With the team also having parted ways with Louis Crayton, we now have two open roster slots.

No surprise here. I commented about 4 weeks ago that those were the two players that were as good as gone. Peters just wasn't improving in practice.

Soehn seemed to say in his comments to Goff that they wouldn't neccessarily pick up a third keeper. This leaves two spots. I say add another defender to make up for the loss of Peters and continue to add to the depth, and add a speedy striker or attack minded player to add depth and skill to the offense in time for a Champions League and playoff push.

Is this Anthony Peters? If it is, it's really too bad he didn't work out. A scary beast of a defender, if he could only play left back.

Good picture. However, a scary beast in front of you gives one pause. A scary beast behind you just makes you run faster. Perhaps he should have attempted to be in front more often.

Dammit!
I have dibs on his jersey at the equipment sale!
I was hoping he'd show more promise, I was dying to have a beast like that on the back line in the future. Hope he catches on with a USL team that I like.

Ms. Hebal was rooting for him because they both graduated from Baton Rouge High.
