Smells like a deal is going down.
Anyone catch that half naked lady in the crowd? What was that about?

Rivers does go to NYG. I was right for once. The deal will likely be finalized in the next 24 hours with Manning.
I can go to the gym now. Pats are least three hours away from picking, I don't expect them to move up.

Yes, I noticed and it was kinda funny. All she is wearing are signs. But that is not a really good idea when you are surrounded by tailgating NFL fans.

Rumor is that before the draft the Giants offered the # 4 pick, their 3rd rounder this year and a second rounder next year.
Now it looks like- since Manning is refusing to play in SD- that the deal might just be the rights to Phillip Rivers and the Giants 3rd round pick this year.
Redskins are on the clock...Kellen Winslow Jr is a likely choice.
Personally, I'd like Mike Williams to fall to the Jets at # 12, but it likely won't happen.

jamison's second scenario is likely.
Mike Williams isn't in the draft, you may be thinking of Roy Williams.
Now it's gym time.

Skins only really have this pick today after trading their second rounder for Portis and getting Brunell.
Skins take....Shawn Taylor, Saftey from Miami.

WoW!!!!!!!
Giants spent a heck of a lot to get Manning. That was a blockbuster of a trade.
Giants get: Eli Manning
Chargers get: Phillip Rivers, Giants 3rd rounder 2004, Giants 1st rounder 2005, Giants 5th rounder 2005.
Holy crap, Giants fans are pissed.

Sean Taylor (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/2004/draft/players/44570.html) is a pretty amazing athelete, so the story goes.
POSITIVES: Big, game-changing safety who could be used at a variety of positions. Intelligent, immediately recognizes the action and quick to key the ball carrier. Efficient, plays under control and takes correct angles to the action. Remains focused, and though fierce in run defense, does not get caught out of position on pass plays. Fires up the field, displays a burst of speed but also plays sideline-to-sideline and covers a good amount of area. Hard-hitting and forces the action. Outstanding special teams player that impacts the game on coverage units.
NEGATIVES: Better facing the quarterback and slow to locate in man-to-man coverage. Lacks top hands for the interception and, as a result, defends more throws than he actually picks off.
ANALYSIS: A freak of nature with rare athletic abilities, Taylor can be a force at either safety position in the NFL. He has the physical skills, tenacity and mental attitude to immediately produce as a rookie and should quickly move into a starting lineup next season.

If the Giants end up doing well next year, that # 1 pick could be at # 17 or so, but it is still a lot of picks to give up to move 3 spots.
Collins is on the last year of his deal, so the question is do they sit Manning for a year and then just not re-sign Collins, or do they let Collins go and start Manning?
Interesting.

I love this. I hope Corey Simon and Jevon Kearse end his career by the end of this year.

Remember though, fans on draft day are all kind of greedy. Eagle fans booed Donovan McNabb, though looking back that was a pretty solid pick.

Gallery is a good pick. He can play right away and he looks like a real good run blocker.
He'll start immediately, unlike a skill position player, and will likely ensure a major decrease in blindside hits on Gannon and Tui. Great pick. Still...**** the Raiders. ;)

Browns step up to get Kellen Winslow Jr (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/2004/draft/players/44616.html), 6'4", 251.
POSITIVES: Tremendous athlete that could revolutionize the tight end position in the NFL. Quick releasing off the line of scrimmage, sharp route runner and gets separation from defenders. Plays with leverage, strength and creates mismatches for the defense. Outruns most linebackers and too strong for defensive backs. Shields defenders from the action with his frame, adjusts to the errant throw and makes the difficult reception in traffic. Contorts to the errant pass and consistently catches the ball away from his frame. Finds the soft spot in the defense or physically beats defenders to come free. Makes both the ordinary and acrobatic catch with regularity. Displays a sense of timing, tracks the deep throw and quick transitioning from catching the pass to running after the reception. Keeps the play in bounds and works to pick up yardage. Easily makes the reception at top speed. Gives effort blocking and works to finish off defenders.
NEGATIVES: To this point lacks functional football strength and gets average results blocking. Does a bit of standing around at times rather than coming back to the ball. Takes his eyes off the ball and looks to run before he's actually caught the ball. Getting the rap as a "high maintenance" prospect.
ANALYSIS: Very much a chip off the old block, Winslow will change the way the tight end position is played just as his dad did. A skill player coordinators can game plan around, he has All-Pro type talent for years to come but must learn to control his temper and remain focused
