Could anybody give me the names of classic old school hip-hop songs, mainly those with memorable beats? I mean top-notch stuff here, e.g. Erik B & Rakim's "The R". It would be much appreciated.

"Five Minutes of Funk" Whodini

"Roxanne Roxanne" UTFO (The second beat is especially tight. There were three different ones IIRC)

"Sucker MCs" RUN-DMC

"Say No Go" De La Soul (the beat is very simple, but sounds great with the bass line sampled from Hall&Oates)

"Rebel Without A Pause" Public Enemy
