We need a thread to talk about Music, what to play, how to practice, what setup you use, etc....

I'll start with me
I play a Acoustic/Electric Takamine EG-141SC
http://www.takamine.com/pics/models/eg141sc_lg.jpg
They don't sell this model anymore, which is why I like it. It's a very bright guitar, and for me, it's got the best tone of any guitar I've played that is under $1000

I use D'Addario EJ16-3D Phosphor Bronze/Light strings.

I also have a small Fender PR 421 "Bullet 15" amp
http://www.wholenote.com/images/store/full/EM_022-67700-023.jpg
I like this amp because I don't really need anything big, it has built in effects so I don't have to spend any money on pedals right now, and I can make my acoustic sound like a pretty decent electric with distortion and high gain.

To record I use a 1/4'-1/8' converter to plug into my computer and use Cool Edit Pro 2 (Adobe Audition) to mix tracks.

I love my Tak, but I think the next guitar I will be purchasing will be a Taylor 714CE. That's a year or two down the road though.

I bought this little mini studio - http://www.korg.com/gear/images/products/info/info_PXR4.jpg

here's a song I did using just my acoustic and a piece of ******** mic:

I love it - $350 bones on ebay, but great for screwing around.

I don't have any postable photos, but I have a Tobias Growler 4-string bass, a Strunal (sp?) upright bass, a Tascam PortaTwo 4-track, and a Guild acoustic.

I play in a band, in the middle of recording demos. If you're interested, go to the link, click on "Music," and then the "MoHI" folder and take a listen. I wrote "Semi-Gemini."

i've got a Tacoma acoustic/electric and a peavey electric. i've also got Boss GT6 effects processor and a very crappy amp. i''ve only been playing for a little over a year. i was in a band (our lead guitarist left at christmas and our drummer moved to atlanta yesterday), so now all that's left is me and the keyboardist. we would record in our basement..... ton's of fun (we used Cakewalk music software to record on my comp)
