We are a little over 200 combined posts in the transfer threads and I was curious how our little experiment has fared to date.

Obviously it gets a little confusing at times but it seems that most have grasped the concept that we have the Transfer News Thread to discuss player transfers listed in the media

and the "everything else" thread to cover analysis of players we would like to see but really have not been officially linked to, players you would like to see at the club, players who should be sold, player A playing ahead of player B, etc

I do expect some negative feedback, which is fine, as any and all feedback will be taken into consideration. If this little experiment does not work then perhaps we will go back to the one thread, but I would like to see if this works.

I personally love it. There is a place for mindless discussion and another thread for concrete transfer talk.

Like I said before big Fern, if you don't mind putting up with the extra work it's a fine idea and should work well.

There will be times when both will look like the same thread, and that's when we need you! Self moderation only goes so far, especially when new posters, or poster who don't care are involved.

I kinda like it, but its still having some growing pains I think. I know that I sometimes forget to check which one it is and get off topic some, but hopefully it will get more natural for people as we get used to it.

It would be a fine idea, but im not sure if people will be able to follow it the whole time.

I think if somebody puts up a link about x player coming here, its just human nature to want to discuss it, and I dont think there is anything wrong with that. Having a seperate forum just diminishes talk, because some banter will happen there, and whether or not it is intended, some banter will happen in the forum that is supposed to be only information for reputable sites.

I say go back to the old way, and just have all rumors and links go in the news thread

Thanks for the feedback so far lads.

I highlighted this portion because for the most part that was the biggest complaint of what was not happening. Instead of discussing a player the club was linked to/supposed to sell it turned into a "we should sign X, Y and Z" debate with none of those players having any link to the club at all. Not that I mind that as I feel several here (especially okocha) have offered some extremely good insight and opinions but there was a large contingent of people who were not happy reading through 6 pages of almost unrelated information.

It probably will be a little confusing for a while, but most people (with the exception of a few) have already seemed to grasp the concept.

just wanted to address that but please keep the feedback coming.

Posters, myself included, will always find a away to bring any subject off topic, if ony to make a point without the intention of going against the "flow" and derailing the thread. That is inevitable and it is simply the responsablitiy of everyone to not let it get out of hand or move the discussion to the proper thread, not just the Mods.

Thank God for this other board I found (see you there Danny and KDB).

We don't need little catchy titles for every thread. It makes it hard to quickly do a run down of the threads open. Stop it people. Just call it Chelsea News 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, etc). Stop opening threads like: Avram Grant ver. 2 - If I were the Chelsea Manager (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1070040); it's pointless and unnecessary. Same goes for: The Italian Job- The Chelsea Manager Thread (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1039514) and any thread that ZANI opens. Think before you open a topic...that's all I ask.

(I feel like BridgeMonkee...perhaps I should go the way of him and piss off forever now.)

Have you ever been to the USMNT threads? Talk about finding the proper thread to make a post! They open like 10 threads a day...some with a question some with a comment, like; Will FIFA seed us? or What will the International response be? or I like cakes, Landycakes. along with the 10 Fire Bob Bradley and 10 Why isn't Ady playing more?

This is not that bad, Eddie...not that bad. The other side of it, go to the German boards where humour is not allowed in thread titles because it makes us, uh... less German...LOL!!!

well honestly Eddie if you are not happy then perhaps its time for you to piss off

I just dont know what else we can do to appease you

edit- sorry to come back to this but this type of whinging really irritates me.

There were a litany of complaints about the number of manager and manager related threads so they were combined into one to make is easier for all to use and read through the boards

as for the naming, well Eddie if you want to miserable bastard your whole life then have fun with that (you are running out of things as the Philadelphia area teams continue to win) but for the most part the majority of the members on this board have a good laugh coming up with thread titles and I see little harm in doing so.

as I said I am all for solutions, just try to provide me with some viable options.

It's easier to complain about things then do something about them. Just post more and ignore the rubbish. The ignore option is there for a reason.

I agree with fern. It's easy to complain. But look what has happened.

Riz doesn't post, Eddie same thing, srd is mostly gone, I don't see Clan, I don't see Nice.

What do you all expect when our good posters dissapear? I don't know their reasons so I'm not being judgemental, but it is a fact.

agree yas, thus I hope to find reasons to bring everyone back while maintaining some level of harmony on the board

its also the summer where most folks take some time off. Lets face it with the change in management/team structure we have experienced over the past few seasons (remember the crazy Grant defenders, the Scolari/Deco jack offs) its been a real challenge.

I just hope most come back towards the start of next season and find this board a little better than it was when they left.

Riz has her own son to worry about now and she moved recently so that's time consuming, I see Nice on the politics board but he's got his job, Clan is old so he might have forgotten :p, SRD I don't know well enough, and Eddie's Eddie.

Well, I haven't been wanting to post here because of the following:

Ancelotti who is our new manager will want to bring in Pirlo. I have heard that and blah blah blah.
