A huge wave of apathy greeted the news today that Spurs 'Star' Acimovic, beloved by other team's fans, has joined Lille for good having somehow impressed them during a loan spell.

When asked how he'd impressed his new employers Milo answered, 'Magic tricks. I used to practice them at Spurs. Like disappearing on the field, or missing open goals from one yard out, and hypnotising Hoddle into buying me. I told him my name was Trevor Brooking in a former life, forgetting the fact that he's not even dead yet, but that mentalist signed me anyway.'

We can only infer from this statement that Milo has hypnotised his current employers into signing him. Reports that Lille's coach has called him 'the new Platini' are unconfirmed and totally made up by me. Much like this entire post, except for the signing for Lille bit.

Milo may turn out to be one of those players who join Spurs, become crap, leave and become good again.

Was there a fee involved? And which way did it go?

Didn't see anything about a fee. But he was a free signing, wasn't he?

A bit like Hoddle, skills and vision, but none of the strength to cut it. Shame really.
