For those of you heading to Baltimore, please make note of the following information.

We are set-up for some pre-match drinking at the Pickles Pub (sorry, there was no Celery Pub) which is located at the back of the Camden Yards baseball stadium. The address is 520 Washington Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21201. So, come on down for some great pre-match drinking...Chelsea style. They do have food although they do not have too many tables. They have basic pub fare including fried pickles! The beer is cheap and the atmosphere will be great. You can check out the place at www.picklespub.com (http://www.picklespub.com/). Don’t let the photos fool you, this place is a basic college bar and is made to be light on the wallet. Just check out the photo of the pub from the baseball stadium! If you like domestic beer, bring some dollar bills as a couple are just $1 each.

For the post-match, we have space at the Pratt Street Ale House. The address for this pub is 206 West Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD 21201 and their website is www.prattstreetalehouse.com (http://www.prattstreetalehouse.com/). This place brews its own English style beer (Oliver Breweries) as the brewmeister is from England. They also have guest beers as well. There will be food and drink specials including at least 5 tap beers being just $2.50 per pint. The owner is from Coventry and is really excited about the match being in Baltimore. He had already decided on meal specials like fish and chips before I called! There is a pub next door that can handle any spillage should we fill the place!!

The Pratt Street Ale House will be the Chelsea Central pub, excluding pre-match. It’s located right by the Days Inn Inner Harbor and about a third of a mile to the Sheraton. Easy staggering distance!!

I will send out further information on Baltimore later on so that you know what to expect. If you have any questions, please feel fire away!

I am working on putting a tour of Camden Yards together for me and my friends Friday morning at 11am and figure why not open it up to New York Blues, Chelsea in America and BigSoccer.

The details are that it would be a 90 min tour of Camden Yards from 11am-12:30 (still plenty of drinking time afterward!) Currently the price is $6.

What do we visit on a tour?

The Orioles dugout
(Please note that 2 p.m. tours will not visit the dugout on gamedays.)
The Press Level
The Scoreboard/JumboTron Control Room
Our exclusive Suite Level

What else happens on a tour?
Fans are also treated to a historical perspective of the Camden Yards area, including:

The B & O Railroad
Baltimore's Famous Inner Harbor
Babe Ruth

more info from eddie

First of all, for all venues the following fund raising will occur:

Raffle tickets will be sold to benefit the Chelsea Old Boys with the winning prize being a shirt signed by about 25 past players.

Also, Beth Wild will be selling signed photos of Chelsea players for $40 each. The profits will be going to cover the Legends being brought over (Steve Finnieston, Tommy Langley and Chelsea TV's Neil Barnett). They will be at all events on the tour.

New York Blues tour shirts will be available for $15 as will the New York Blues scarves. New York Blues membership forms will be available as will some True Blue forms for those that are having a hard time renewing or simply want to sign up!

Thursday, July 23rd:
The Chelsea Central bar for this venue is Pratt Street Ale House at 206 West Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.

There is a Chelsea practice that begins at 6pm at M&T Bank Stadium and Chopper will be walking around with many extra practice tickets.

Around 9pm at Pratt Street Ale House, there will be a Q&A session featuring Neil Barnett, Steve Finnieston and Tommy Langley.

Friday, July 24th:
Pratt Street Ale House will be having a free breakfast buffet from 9am to 10am featuring scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, danish/muffins, fresh fruit, toast and breakfast potatoes. Pints will also be on offer! Pratt Street Ale House lunch and dinner specials for today will include pie and a pint for $7, friend fish sandwich with chips for $7.99, bangers and mash for $6.99, fried lasagne rolls for $6.99 and pasta salad for $5.99. This pub makes its own beer (Oliver Breweries) and they have $2.50 pints (all day) of Oliver Amber Ale, Summer Light, Best Bitter, and MadMonk! The brewer is from Coventry and has created a special best bitter for us called Chelsea Best! The pub will have Chelsea banners and will raffle everything off (banners plus the Chelsea Best tap) at the end of the night.

Now that your beer appetite has been whet, it's time to mention the pre-match pub! Pickles Pub!! Sorry, I could not find a celery pub so instead of throwing celery, this place fries pickles. The idea is to be at this pub around 2pm. They will have $3 16 ounce Stella and $4 16 ounce Guinness along with other beer specials and food specials ($5 16 inch pizza, plus many other specials). All bottle beer (read Heineken, etc...) will be 2 for $5. We will be inside and outside this pub as it can handle 1,000 people and this is where we will be getting into the party spirit and singing out songs. Singing here is very important as we will have people at the pub that do not know the songs. They need to learn the songs in order to be able to sing at the stadium! The pub is located at 520 Washington Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21230. Basically, it's across the street from the left field of Camden Yards.

For those that like baseball, Eddie Batcho has coordinated a tour of Camden Yards beginning at 11am and has negotiated the price down to $6. This is a historical tour of the stadium that includes the history inside and outside the stadium. If you haven't seen the locker rooms etc... then this is the tour for you. If interested, please contact Eddie by PM'ing ME!

Okay, I'll go there. For those that don't like to eat breakfast and feel somewhat left out of the Ale House breakfast deal, well, Pickles Pub is your destination for $1.50 Stella and $2 Guinness (8-10am!). Now, is that a breakfast of champions of what?

The FA Cup will also be at this event! Yes, the Chelsea MegaStore tent in the parking lot will have the FA Cup on display and photo's are free. Get there early to ensure you see the cup.

The match is at 8pm.

For the post-match drinking, we have reserved space at the Pratt Street Ale House. This is very important as the staggering distance to the hotels is just under 2 miles (just 30 yards to the Days Inn if you can walk straight and maybe a third of a mile to the Sheraton). The location of this pub is absolutely fantastic.

Some details:
We're in section 112 for this match which is behind the goal and slightly to the right of the goal. Great seats!! Pickles Pub has created a pedestrian walkway so that we can walk straight from Pickles Pub to the stadium.

How do you get to Inner Harbor is you're not driving? Well, from BWI airport, you take the Light Rail which will bring you right passed the stadiums (football and baseball, one stop for each). For Days Inn Inner Harbor, you take the Light Rail north to Convention Center-Pratt Street. For the Sheraton, you take the Light Rail north to Baltimore Street. For those taking the Chelsea Special from Penn Station at 9:35am, you take the Light Rail south to the stops listed above. The price of Light Rail is just $1.60 per person and they have ticket machines on the platform and on the street. For those taking MegaBus to Cherry Hill. You will be at the Light Rail station (Cherry Hill) and you simply head north to your destination and the ticket machine is on the "platform." The stadiums will be on your left so have the cameras handy!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

SUMMARY AS THIS IS QUITE LONG!!
Thursday night: practice at 6pm, Q&A at Pratt Street Ale House at 9pm.
Friday: Free breakfast at Pratt Street Ale House, Camden Yards tour with Eddie Batcho, pre-match drinking and singing at Pickles Pub, post-match drinking at Pratt Street Ale House.
Saturday: Head to Dallas! :-)
Neil Barnett, Steve Finnieston and Tommy Langley will be joining us for the pre- and post-match events for all stops of the tour. They will also be with us in the stadium. A great job by Beth and CIA in bringing these heroes (and Neil) over to the US for the four matches.
