They stole the title from us, we stole the greatest player in Premiership history from them. Fair exchange, I'd say.

Hahaha. Premiership HISTORY? HISTORY??? What, the whole dozen years of it?? Wow, that's a great and fantastically important period of time isn't it? Considering the fact English football is in it's poorest playing state since WW2 and has been for a decade or more now I don't really think that's a real impressive claim to fame do you? What is it, only one English team becoming champions of Europe since the 1980s (and that being the flukiest, jammiest win EVER) and no others even getting to the final???? Truly, this is a poor era!

Bit disrespectful there Achtung. Do you know how many games L.F.C had to play in a short space of time after the Hillsborough disaster? You know, that little something that cost the lives of 96 souls.

Low blow you Manc peasant. Low blow indeed!
I don't think that Achtung took into account what happened there in his statement. He didn't bring it up or make light of what happened either. We get pretty put off when people sing aeroplane songs and whatnot, so we wouldn't go there with 'pool fans.

It's ok. I wasn't feeling overly bothered about Achtung's comments. Just pointing out some reasons. Liverpool did well to claw back what they did that season as Arsenal were so far ahead at one time. As far as Liverpool fans are concerned the 1989 season and who won the league is irrelevant to us. It means nothing compared to what happened at Hillsborough.

The aeroplane chant went in tandem with the ''Bill Shankly is dead'' song so it was tit for tat really and it was never really sung again after Hillsborough. I don't remember hearing it on the Kop in the years after Hillsborough. I guess a lot of 'growing up' was done then.

Now thatīs b******s and you know it. In an ideal world it would apply but not here in the UK, no way
