A lot of people on the post game thread commented how tired the Egyptians looked today. Maybe Bob Bradley is smarter than we think. This could be the reason why the US put 3 goals on Egypt today and why Egypt looked "spent":

Horny Egypt players brought five prostitutes to their hotel rooms on the night their team competed in the Confederations Cup – and later claimed US2400 (R19377) had been stolen from their rooms.
Yesterday a spokesperson at the Norwood police station, where the case has been reported, said they had evidence that some of the Egyptian players brought hookers to their hotel to celebrate their historic win against world champions Italy on Thursday night.
A police officer says: “We have confirmed that some of the players brought prostitutes, whom they picked up on Oxford Road [in Rosebank], to their hotel rooms and we have strong suspicions that they were cleaned out by those ladies of the night.”
The police’s claim was confirmed by members of Thaba Strategic Service – the security company guarding the Protea Hotel Wanderers.
One of the guards yesterday said: “These players brought abomagosha here and when they were robbed they pointed their dirty fingers at the hotel staff – that’s nonsense.

Egypt players´ theft may have been party gone sour
AFP - 21 June 2009 19:05
JOHANNESBURG (AFP) - Egyptian players involved in the Confederations Cup who claimed money was stolen from their hotel had invited prostitutes to their room who apparently made off with their money, police told local media on Sunday.
South African police declined to confirm the story, but senior police told the Sunday Independent newspaper that there was no sign of forced entry and that the players had been partying with women invited to their rooms.
"They could have come up with the robbery claims to avoid being caught out or embarrassed by their spouses and girlfriends back home in Egypt," an unnamed police official told the paper.
"No money was taken from the safe, but we have heard that they had been drinking and womanising, and the same women later robbed them," he said.
The head of the Egyptian Confed Cup delegation, Mahmoud Tahir, strongly denied the report.
"Of course it is not true, the security is very high and no one is allowed to get into the rooms without accreditation," Tahir told AFP.
He added that they had asked the police for an explanation on the matter.

So you're saying we need to order up a few dozen professional ladies and have them sent to the Spanish hotel on Tuesday night? Or that these ladies visited us the night before the Brazil match?

I thought of the Dutch incident of the 1974 World Cup right off on seeing this story.
Your comment confirms it, so I had to go find a link so anyone unfamiliar with the story will know it is so.
It is the famous story of the Dutch players supposedly frollicking with some Frauleins around the swimming pool in Germany the night before(?) the World Cup final which of course, Holland lost.
It's not that important to me to research in that I know the basics of the story but here is a link for those not familiar with it.
http://netherlands.worldcupblog.org/1/the-1974-bild-swimming-pool-incident.html
"Oranje had qualified for the WC1974 finals. Cruyff and Neeskens beat Brazil and West Germany - not playing a very impressive tournament so far - was to be the next nudge on the …eh…football shoe.
German tabloid Bild wanted to milk the situation.
They had a plan. They knew where the Dutch players resided. They had some loose Deutsch Marks to chuck around. And they had the phone numbers of some juicy escort girls.
“I love it when a good plan comes together…”
The money was used to bribe the security guards. The escort girls were….eh…escorted into the pool area where the Dutch players were chilling out. The girls undressed and jumped giggling into the pool, amongst the players. And the Bild photographers were happily snapping away in a bush somewhere.
The photo’s were prominently on the front page: “Oranje has big orgy with naked women in Hotel pool”. Or something like that."

And one more World Cup where moi, personally, questions the results but that is the way it goes.

From the Bradley photoshop thread, an actual photo from the hotel room hours before the incident:

Bob's tactical genius come through. He clearly had a long talk with the team about not partying with prostitutes during the tournament. Advantage Bradley.
I have a friend who in 94 was in charge of shuttling the Bulgarian team around while they were in Dallas for their game against Argentina. He said that all they wanted to do was go to strip clubs and pick up chicks the night before the big game. He told me that in particular Stoichkov spent the entire night smoking, drinking, and then passed the early hours of the morning with several strippers in his room. That day they beat Argentina.
Spaniards love prostitutes. in the city I live in here in Spain, the largest brothel it right next to a Toys R Us.

You are absolutely correct. I was just looking at an AIDS map of Africa days ago.
20-30% for South Africa though a few countries are worst. http://media.photobucket.com/image/map%20africa%20aids/keepitonthedeck/map-of-africa-coloured-according-to.jpg When I see that map, they can't mean 20-30% of the population or adult population are HIV positive can they?? Man!
So, not only does this story highlight the astronomical crime problems of South Africa, but the AIDS as well. Heck, there were all those articles before the last World Cup of hookers going to the German cities.
I wonder if there could be a bit of a penalty to National Team members for acting this way in Egypt. Some of these guys play for teams abroad. You'd think they'd know better. Also, from what I understand, Cairo has some of this trade there already.
