Douglas (Celtic), Gallacher (Dundee United) Gordon (Hearts), Alexander (Preston North End), G Caldwell (Hibernian), S Caldwell (Newcastle United), Crainey (Southampton), Dailly (West Ham United), Mackay (Norwich City), McNamara (Celtic), Pressley (Hearts), Webster (Hearts), Cameron (Wolves), Canero (Leicester City), Fletcher (Manchester United), Holt (Norwich City), Pearson (Celtic), Quashie (Portsmouth), Rae (Rangers), Crawford (Dunfermline Athletic), Dickov (Leicester City), Kyle (Sunderland), McCann (Southampton), McFadden (Everton), Miller (Wolves), Thompson (Rangers).
Three new faces in Nigel Quashie, Malky Mackay and Peter Canero.
Quashie has all the hallmarks of a one cap wonder for me, mackay makes the squad about three or four years after he should have originally and Canero looked a decent prospect at killie.
Vogt's is in schtook if he doesnt win this one IMO

I'm glad Gary Holt’s been included. I heard him absolutely tear into Berti in a radio interview recently, saying “it was a disgrace he and Malky Mackay hadn't been called-up” and “hopefully he’ll get the sack soon”!!!
I don’t fancy our chances in this one at all! Denmark away as they prepare for Euro 2004 – not much chance!
Maybe more of the TA will agree with Gary Holt after the game! ;)

Every time BErti names a squad it automatically becomes the worst Scotland squad ever these days!
Players like Alexander, the Caldwells, McKay, etc should be nowhere near international football.

Kyle is another one, how many caps does he have to get before mcvogts understands he's mcpish

Vogts ain't getting sacked until after the World Cup qualifiers, if anything the compensation the SFA would have to pay him now would be too much.

He should have done the decent and stepped down after the holland farce, up until then his headless chicken tactics and baffling team selections hadnt really mattered as they had mostly been confined to friendlies and when results mattered we got them, faroes aside, but since then we have just gotten worse and sooner rather than later the SFA will cave in to public and media pressure and kick his hole back to kuwait or whatever footballing shithole we found him in previously.
Gordon Strachan for scotland!

According to the beeb, Fitz Hall will be called up to the squad.
Our prayers have been answered! ;)
Apparently he plays for Southampton, is English and his nickname is "one size" as in "one size Fitz Hall". :)

Livingston defender David McNamee has been drafted into the Scotland squad to face Denmark after six withdrawals.
Rab Douglas, Jackie McNamara, Stephen Pearson, Gavin Rae, Stevie Crawford and Paul Dickov have all pulled out.
Coventry keeper Scott Shearer was a late call-up, but he is also injured, while Christian Dailly and Nigel Quashie are rated only 50-50.

--------------Gallacher--------------
Alexander---Pressley---Dailly---Canero
Fletcher---Cameron---Holt----McCann
----------Kyle------McFadden-------
Berti has said that Gallacher, McFadden & Kyle will start, and that Canero will make his debut at some point (probably a sub).
Meanwhile, Portsmouth's Nigel Quashie is the latest injury casualty. Celtic's David Marshall has been called-up.

1-nil denmark with a 60th minute header by ebbe sand
Ok result considering we were missing a load of on form players and denmark at home are not easy to beat but a loss is still a loss.

Well, it would have taken a miracle for you to win this match .... according the the Scottish journalists traveling to Denmark, Scotland were hoping not to lose with more than 3 goals, so a 1-nil defeat vs. Denmark is a good result for Scotland in a rather boring match, with a Danish team playing the ball around at a rather low pace, hoping not to get injured and not doing more than necessary vs. a Scottish team defending well, but not being good enough to be much of a challenge, besides a few good shots on goal...

Good summary ceres. Although i missed most the first half due to cancelled trains:(. McFadden looked ok but lacking matches, Fletcher showed some good touches, some decent defending but a very low key match.

Paul Gallacher's performance in goal was very impressive also.
