ESPN.com's Page 2 is running a bracket right now to decide who the best male athelete in the world is right now.
Our boy Thierry is one of five soccer players in the running (the others being Beckham, Adu, Zidane, and VanHorseyDiver.)
Help keep VaVaVoom in the running by heading over to:

Titi is in the "Michael Jordan" region, and his first round opponent is long distance runner Haile Gebrselassie.
Vote early, and vote often.

Done and done. Plus, I voted for the hockey goalie over Kobe Bryant. :D

So far the only soccer player I voted for was Henry.....the other two just weren't better then their competition. I do intend on voting for Totti and Zidane. Sorry Beckham, but Roy Jones Jr. is an incredible athlete.....so you lose.

I had to think long and hard before voting for Henry. Say what you will, but long distance runners are incredible specimens. Still, playing soccer at that level is probably up there.
Also took me a while to decide between Tiger and Ruud. Tiger is definitely the most dominant golfer, but is he truly a better athlete than RVN? Tough call.

I guess I missed Totti. Who's he up against? Ichiro? Hmm.. Totti it is.

With approximately 140,470 votes tallied, Henry is beating the runner 59% to 41%.

Titi made it to the 2nd round, but get in there and vote for him because it's nip and tuck in early results (v. a gymnast).

Henry advanced again and we better all be putting up votes for him now as he's facing Freddy Adu.

The people who voted for Freddy adu should hang their hands in shame. How ridiculous.

This will be the ultimate test in how stupid the American sports fan is. 2 soccer players; 1, the best in the world, the other has potential but plays in a 3rd tier league. Anyone voting for Adu should be publicly humiliated.

How the hell did Adu beat Johnny Wilkinson. That is a joke right?
I am sure that Titi will beat Adu though, but pride might come before common sense.
And Barry Bonds getting through a few rounds. hahahahahahaha. That drugged up goon shouldn't be on the list anyway.

Again, its mostly going to be a popularity contest. People will vote for Adu because they've heard of him. And besides, never underestimate the anti-French sentiment in a country that went out of its way to change the menu at the Capitol to read "freedom fries".
