If the bombers had succeded at Old Trafford on Saturday, would they have blamed that for losing the title?

Being a Man U supporter I would expect you to have a sense of humour.

I despise ManU as much as any good Gunner fan, but this bombing plot crosses way over the normal lines and is simply despicable, regardless of who the target is. I think it would quickly make Arsenal's title quite forgettable if such a terrorist tragedy were to occur.

People may differ on this, but to me this kind of thing isn't really the place for humor. There's plenty else for ManU fans and Gunner fans to joke about, but I'd choose to stay away from this topic.

Being a human being (at least as far as I can tell), I would expect you to have an ounce of class.

I realise any loss of life is terrible. But in this time of doom and gloom, maybe a little humour should brighten our days up.

Alright, I'll assume you had no intentions of ill will, and that it was genuinely supposed to be funny. Still, I just don't think it was all that appropriate, especially so soon after this apparent incident. Additionally, I don't think most of us United fans are making up empty excuses for not winning the title. If you come into our board, you'll see most of us making actual constructive criticisms of SAF, the players, and the board..

By joking about (what might have been) the biggest disaster in football history by a country mile?
I'm all for humour, try posting some.
After this season, I need a larf.

Don't be too surprised phish. I had my landlord tell me he's raising the rent for next year because of terrorism. Now that was funny and I laughed in his face.

call me an ************** if you want, but why is it such a bad thing to joke about? and what does the amount of time after an event like that have to do with anything. you want to be offended by something be offended by the people who actually did something wrong, not the people who are only out to get a laugh from the people intelligent enough to realize a joke is not gonna hurt anything.

I am overjoyed that this terrible plot was foiled. I may not root for another club and shout/argue about players with other supporters, BUT I NEVER EVER want to see any person get hurt! This is a sport! It is all about us enjoying a great game and discussing the rich traditions, clubs, and wonderful players.
I don't care what club they support. And honestly, I don't want to see players from other clubs get hurt on or off the pitch. I don't care if he is the dirtiest player in the world, I don't want him to get hurt because that isn't right. I don't condone dirty play, but wishing for an injury is just sick. I would rather beat them by winning than see them at less than their best.
Good Health to All!!
