Quashie's one thing but Nigeria are trying to get Shola Ameobi to join their national side. This is a disgraceful abuse of FIFA's rules and to be honest I think it shows that FIFA need another amendment to the eligibility rules. Ameobi is on the fringes of the England squad, a bit more development and he could well be in it. He's hardly been disgarded yet Nigeria are allowed to try and swoop in and get him. IMO players capped at youth level should not be able to switch countries until they hit 25, at that point they will know whether or not their 'original' country has use for them.

Shola Ameobi has already told Nigeria to ******** off, and said he is committed to England as far as I know. Same with JL Samuel, with Trinidad trying to steal him away from us. Like Prenn said, Quashie is one thing, but these other countries who are trying to take away potentially good players away from us, piss me off.

You Scots have been playing England rejects for years, I don't see what's any different with Quashie....

He's also the ex-"New Paul Ince", and the ex-"Future England captain".
