it was an absolute disgrace the way montreal folded and gave the canadian championship to TO by loosing 6-1 in last night's game -- and in their own stadium!!! vancouver fans have every right to be totally pi--ed off with such a shameful lack of professionalism from the Impact club and its players-- anything less than a 4-goal differential and Vancouver would have been into the next stages of the competition-- makes this weekend's game in montreal vs vancouver a barn-burner of a game-- fire will be flowing from the caps and may they 'burn the arse' of the montreal players

I hope the people at MLS were watching. Nothing against the Montreal fans, but the people behind that organization don't ever deserve an MLS team. They're a complete disgrace to the integrity of the game.

reminds me of when Montreal won last year despite the fact that we beat them and tied them.
but i don't think we made as many excuses as Whitecaps fans.... we we're just really pissed off.
Vancouver fans are making asses of themselves all over the internet.... on any article about the game that you can comment on.
welcome to football. sh*t happens. deal with it or kindly piss off.

We fielded our B team for good reason, nothing to play for and a match against Vancouver 2 days later. Honnestly if the Whitecaps were in our situation they would have done the same.

having played many sports, the only way i wanted to win was when the other team gave its best-- anything less left a hollow victory feeling-- and any TO player would say the same thing if they were willing to admit how montreal played the game and lost 6-1-- nothing against TO, but this is about montreal's shameful approach to the game!! Sports should also be about integrity and honesty-- both lacking from the entire montreal team and FO

True... But Montreal did score the first goal. The Montreal side this year isn't as good as last year. TFC also has Dwayne. :D I don't think Montreal was asking to get there ass handed to them. Toronto was going to win one way or another. TFC was on a rampage. No force in Canada was going to stop them.

you beat us 2-0... congrats... we beat you 1-0... what is your point?
at the end of the day, we are champions of Canada. and no amount of bitching and whining that you do can change that fact. you can make all the excuses you want.... it just makes our victory that much sweeter, knowing how pissed off Whitecaps fans are.

none of us Whitecap fans are angry at TO-- just at montreal and how they approached and played the game-- i hope that TO goes all the way-- i have no sour grapes towards them!

Instead of bitching maybe they should fix the problem : this will happen again, where a team is eliminated and puts the young players (B-Team) on the field. In this case, Toronto should get the home field advanatge because they won by goal differential and a 1 game show-down should be played against Vancouver, if not this year they should organize it for future years. How can u have a fair competition with only 3 teams? and no other cities in Canada (other Ottawa) can afford and are showing interest to one day join MLS.

You beat a TFC team with no Amado Guevara. You won that game, but we dominated even without a creative midfield presence. Chris Cummins likes using 4-3-3 and 3-4-3 formations with DeRo up top. With DeRo up top and no Guevara we have nobody in Midfield to initiate offense. Look at the difference it made having him in there on Thursday not having to rely on Carl Robinson and Sam Cronin to spring our attack forward.
Without Amado we are basically a direct team, with him we can attack from midfield and create better chances. That is what happened.
