3-3 Draw
Haven't seen that many high kicks since I saw the Karate Kid. And oh yeah ESPN hates soccer :D

I thought we were done with the way we came out in the second half, but luckily, Seattle let up after the third goal and gave us some possession to get us back into the game.
They completely gave us a point in this one, but I'll take it.

Great road tie. DCU comes to my new home town of Denver. I hope #10 shows the rapids what they could have had.

game of the freakin' year in MLS and 60 minutes went to NCAA baseball
Kyle Martino doesn't know much
Wicks, Wallace, Pontius and Quaranta were huge
Emilio, no soup for you
and I'd take it easy on the defense, Seattle was throwing everything forward...we were just plain outnumbered at the back

I'm guessing the idiot who threw the bottle at Wicks never attended a USL Sounders game.

Hope they don't show the first 45 min of the uva baseball game again. ESPN sucks!

I don't blame the back three too much for this game except for burch not being good enough to go one v one against montero which I think most of us knew going into the game. Simms and jacobson were awful and moving wallace to the middle didn't help that much. We really needed a back four this game. Jakovic had to scramble to cover for our useless central midfielders leaving Namoff or Burch to pick up the man Jakovic just left.
Playing Nsilu and emilo together definitely didn't work. They were owned by seatles defenders and constantly lost the ball. Pontius Santino and Gomez played well but didn't see enough of the ball.
Wicks despite giving up 3 goals might be MOTM we were lucky to get a point.

Who knew Gomez could change a game?
I think the turf had something to do with the play. United players kept slipping and their touches were just terrible (I'm not talking about Luci, who always has a terrible touch lately).
I love how the hack announcer's last words were how this was a great game for the league to sell itself on, after the fact espn2 failed to show most of it.

Brilliant game. Not a fan of the result, but holy crap, DCU never gave up. Even if the Sounders did. Heh. Wish ESPN hadn't screwed it up and cost us most of the game.

I love this United squad. They just don't know when to quit. Yeah I know the equalizer was off an own goal (and a beautiful own goal, at that), but it came from the pressure they were putting on.

There is a reason a 2 goal lead is considered the most dangerous in the game. Seattle certainly relaxed too much.
I still think Seattle's first goal will win GOtW.
Glad to start this road trip with a point.
Gomez is the super sub. I was so excited to see him returning to United from Colorado and he's completely living up to my expectations.

best game of the year. thank god i have an internet service provider with espn 360, or i'd be sending something awful to bristol, ct, or whatever the hell the postal code is up there, what the F**k ESPN???? why couldn't you move the game to classic? oh yeah masters coverage, what about espnU? oh the italy usa replay, what about espn? sportscenter and baseball tonight????? WTF!!!!!!
jakovic and simms had a bad game, somehow we lucked out, wicks might be developing into something of a star, i didn't like our time wasting tactics as we could have had a shot at a 4th goal, but i'll take the result, what an atmosphere in seattle, the fans're great, i'll even take the bottle thrown at wicks, if only he fell to the side like dida did at ac milan, again great game, espn give us a soccer channel

Great point, tonight! It would be nice if the announcers didn't worship the almighty Sounders. ESPN Classic should replay this match at a decent hour.

As much as I want to blame UVA for that baseball debacle, you have to put some blame on the umpire. That 4th pitch was a ball. Very generous strike call. If he calls that what it was, the game ends there and we only miss the first minute or so of the game.

Chesco: ESPN2 will replay the whole thing at 1am. Set your DVRs, I guess.

that right there sums up the game, nsilu and emilio were not clicking up front, we needed just a few more touches, and we go to denver with 3 pts

Lucky for us, seattle took out their strikers too soon and didn't have the savvy to overcome the draw.

A back 4 would have helped since we doubled and were beaten on the switch of field. Burch was scary to watch 1v1 today. Gomez brought his game today. Great stuff. Over all, DC's mids played well, keeping possession. Sadly the backs weren't as solid and N'Silu wasn't keeping his ground up front; getting run over by defenders.
