The Matthew Harding memorial was moving - I remember the news on Radio 5 after listening to 6-0-6 or something that night about a helicopter crash. Then when word came down it was Harding, we felt crushed.

I mean, for those who weren't around then he felt like our Roman before Roman (even though his fortune was fractional), one of us, a terrace man and a commoner come good. Plus he took on Bates which as Fern will tell you was both the reason we loved him and the reason he was ultimately out of luck in the boardroom.

I think some even felt Bates had somehow caused the crash such was the hatred there!! Bates must have HATED naming the North stand after Matthew.

Nice gratuitous Kerry shots in there too Kaz - LUV IT!!!
