Tottenham captain Jamie Redknapp has vowed to do all he can to prevent arch-rivals Arsenal from winning the title at White Hart Lane next weekend.
The runaway Premiership leaders could clinch the title at the home of their North London neighbours with a win over beleagured Tottenham if results go their way.

Tottenham have endured a miserable season in the shadow of Arsenal and are still not safe from relegation, but Redknapp is hoping to give their fans something to shout about by becoming the first team to beat Arsenal in the league this season.

"We know Arsenal could win the title at our place," said Redknapp. "It happened a few years ago but we can't let it happen again.

"It would be worst thing possible for our fans.

"It's a big local derby and I'm sure the fans will be right up for it.

"Maybe stopping them winning the title at White Hart Lane will give something back to our fans for the season we've had."

Well, Jamie, does this mean that you're going to inspire the side this week? or stroll around trying not to get injured again?

Might as well be:

Jamie Redknapp said yesterday "blah blah blah, we'll try hard, blah blah blah, arsenal is a big game, blah blah blah, give something back to the fans.. blah blah blah, new contract please?"

Redknapp has a game knee, his cousin (Lampard) split his lip open, a wound that required 20 stitches and supposed plastic surgery. Also his wife is 6 months preglump and so he's not getting any. Plus after the birth, she'll have saggy funbags and a pom-pom like a bucket. There's no point him being at WHL anymore if his wife's not worth the fans leering at.

Go to Pompey Jamie, we'll keep Dazza!
