Perhaps GPK can move this once he starts the CL Semis thread...
No Duff, Gallas or Baba in Monaco
William Gallas, Damien Duff and Celestine Babayaro have all failed to make the trip to Monaco. But Claude Makelele, Juan Sebastián Verón, Hernán Crespo and Eidur Gudjohnsen have all travelled.
So have John Terry who sat on the bench all Saturday, and Glen Johnson who hasn’t played since the second leg of the first round against Stuttgart on March 9th when he sprained his ankle badly. Filipe Oliveira is also in the party.
Gallas and Duff are suffering from illness. Babayaro is still recovering from the hamstring strain he felt against Middlesbrough.
The full squad is: Marco Ambrosio, Neil Sullivan, Mario Melchiot, Glen Johnson, Marcel Desailly, John Terry, Robert Huth, Wayne Bridge, Gérémi, Jesper Grřnkjćr, Scott Parker, Frank Lampard, Claude Makelele, Joe Cole, Juan Sebastián Verón, Filipe Oliveira, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Adrian Mutu, Hernán Crespo and Eidur Gudjohnsen.
Monaco didn’t play at the weekend because it was the French FA Cup semi-finals.
Not a bad squad to pick from even without Duff & Gallas...
