Hello all :) I'm using Hattrick Buddy right now, and that seems quite good... but i wondered what else everyone else uses, and what is considered 'the best' program to use?

Thanks :)

I use buddy... because it's free.

All I really use it for is keeping track of who pops in what area on thursday nights. I rarely open it up any other time.

It's also good for determining what orientation your players are best suited for. (attacking, defensive, normal)

I use buddy. I like the features it has and the next version promises a match viewer.

The transfer evaluation is a great thing. I have never used anything else to any great extent, but I already pay for supporter. I don't want to have to pay for anything else.

I've used HAM since it was first released, and it does pretty much everything I need. I even decided to pay for it, mainly because it was only like $7 or so and I felt generous that week.

The only thing I don't like about HAM is that it sucks the resources from my PC more then any other program I have. I might have 65% or more resources available on the pc (with multiple browser windows open and email), and when I open HAM it plummets to under 15%. It's amazing. I only have 128 megs of RAM on my home PC, and if HAM is up then I can only have 1 browser window open and even then things go crazy if I go to the match order screen in Hattrick.

Maybe it has to do with all the data from over 200 matches played? Or maybe I have something clicked on that I need to shut off? Who knows.

I do need more RAM, though.

Are you using Win9x/ME? The only way to fix the resource problems is to go to Windows 2000 or XP -- more RAM won't help (the system resources are a fixed-size arena, with the size determined by the operating system, not the total RAM). If Loke is developing on one of the varieties of NT (probably 2000 or XP), he may not even be aware of the issue, if a user hasn't raised it.

That's good to know......my home pc runs Windows ME. Maybe I'll poke around and see if Loke makes any mention of it on the HAM website. It's very frustrating, and I'm a paying customer!

:)

Ehhh, only $7, but still.

I'm using Buddy, but there's one thing I miss from HAM. HAM has a "short list" that allows you to list players that aren't on your team (i.e. possible transfers). You copy/paste the guys info into a window and it adds him to the list of players. Now you can use the position ratings to compare the player to the players you already have. However, it's about the only thing that I've found that HAM does but Buddy can't do.

Also, anybody ever use www.mybestteam.org ? Kind of confusing to figure out the first time, but not a bad utility.

You can kinda do the "short list" thing with the "at form X" utility, although it won't really let you compare with more than one player.

Well I love HAM, and I paid for HAM....but the resource problem became too much to handle. Last night I downloaded Hattrick Buddy, and darned if it doesn't do pretty much everything I need.....without dropping my resources to under 5%.

I downloaded hattrick buddy and hattrick forever the other day. Buddy seems to be my favourite so far though
