View Full Version : NY/NJ Pre/Post match discussion (R)
Well, Cobi is listed as probable, the rest of the team (even Albright) are healthy (except the two that are out the rest of the season) Can we get some revenge on the match at the Swamps?

Lets see if this time we can hold Mamadou to under 5 goals.

Have to say that my focus has been elsewhere this week!!
Perhaps the fact that we lost that OT game in Big D last Saturday still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth is a reason.
Or could it be that my beloved Wolverines kick off their 2002 NCAA football season on Saturday at the "Big House"??!
Anyway, the theme for this Saturday IMHO is "REVENGE"!!!
Michigan owes Washington for last year's 23-18 loss at Seattle and our G-men MUST avenge that 5-0 DISASTER at Giants Stadium in June.
The key to the Galaxy game is containing Big Mama & Clint and that's where Big Red & Thug Life come into play. They MUST be physical, but legal.
There's NO reason why we shouldn't HAMMER the MetroTurds, especially at our place the RB!!
I do wish we had Glinton, but hopefully we'll have Mullan.
A Michigan win + a Galaxy win (hopefully, 5-0) = a VERY happy gf03.

Where is the pre-game drinking party, and subsequent drunken soccer match or kick around before the Galaxy match?

Yeah, we wouldn't have the little Fish if Clint were still with us, but he is still a GaLAxy Dude.

Clint deserves a big cheer from the GaLAxy crowd. :)

Bueno, como estaba diciendo, mi cable internet no sirve, y estoy "slumming it" with dialup, so I get frequent dropouts. Perhaps there is a native spanish speaker lurking out there that can help me with translation...www.wado.netmio, click on "escuchanos" and give them your biography and next of kin in the pop up window, then you will be connected...
Unlike Joe and Dwight, this vato describes every tiny detail, which necesitates speaking at warp 7 in my second language... Oh well, beats a poke in the eye.

from Metros matchtracker...
3rd minute: Galaxy Goal - Carlos Ruiz knocks home the goal past Tim Howard. Ruiz began the play by sending the ball wide right to Elliott. He then sent a roller across the box, until it found Ruiz again for the goal. Victorine could have attempted a shot with the roller, but he fell in a tangle with a Metro defender that enabled the ball to roll to an open Ruiz.

Gooooooooool Galaxy...damn buffering! details en un momentito, 2-0 minuto veinte tres
23:00 - Cobi Jones sent a high, spinning cross outside the penalty arc into the box. Victorine managed to get a piece of the ball in an aerial battle to head it behind him to Ruiz for the shot and goal. Galaxy up 2-0.
Viva Cobi! Viva Fishy! Viva Sasha! Arriba Galaxy!

Tarjeta amarilla para Cobi 35th, probably payback for earlier shot on Cobi
Faria shoots high, Williams making mischief.
Shouldn't lower rent players than Cobi be doing the enforcing? Half time talking point.
Cien gets yellow for hand ball in the box... their box.

Metros matchtracker describes the half as "ugly." Guess that depends on your point of view. Sounds like both sides creating chances with Gals finishing ours and snuffing theirs. To me, thats beyoootiful.

Looks good at the half, but the Cowboy and Big Mama are a clear and present danger. EZ seems to concentrating on defense...Fishy, Cobi and Cien seem to be making trouble enough on their own, with the Metros throwing numbers forward.
Am I out here on my own? If a post appears in empty cyberspace, is it still a post?

i thought they said big mamma was carried away on a stretcher and is at an area hospital?
39:00 - Diallo is being taken to the hospital with an apparent ankle injury. When MetroStars.com and the press box get more information, we will pass it along.

Here we, segundo tiempo.
Victorine, two assists, Cobi and Kiwi one each. Set the table and let the big dawg eat, as we say in Georgia.
Quacks lost, woo hoo!

Estoy confudido...Metros matchtracker reports no changes in lineup...Are reports of Mama's hospitalization greatly exaggerated?
Chance Faria good save Gato 55th Gringos say it was Clint
Gals fend off Clint tiro libre, Metros pressing, Gals countering. 60ish
