Interesting. Maybe we don't have a manager yet. Also his wording seems to indicate that he spoke to Antic, as he has a rep for managing half a season.
I wonder what that resloution with Pleatie will be.
Interesting that there was not much talk in players coming to WHL. Only a casual let's see who's available.

every time i hear or read comments from levy my BS (that's not big soccer) meter goes off the charts. the guys a lying crap filled fool.
barring a billionaire buyout (and lets face it, eventually every billionaire will want their owen sports team), spurs and the fans should be happy competing for the worthless cup and a league finish above 10th.

Why should we?
We're the 16th richest club in the world. We have the richest fans in the premiership, we have spent more money (net) than almost any team in the premiership.
We have the rescources to be one of the biggest clubs in the world. We have put up with this rubbish for too long. Levy is a liar, he told us in January that the manager was sorted, yet that clearly isn't the case. Perhaps that was done to take pressure off Pleat, that hasn't worked. We are in the sh!t and if man city and leeds win their next games then we will be in deep. We cannot just let teams like Birmingham, Southampton, Fulham, Charlton etc overtake us. We are now the 5th team in London, we should be the top team.

I don't remember Levy confirming that the manager was sorted, all I remember was him hinting about knowing who he wanted and feeling confident that he could get his man, but that it was impossible to do anything or say anything now because some people are in other contracts. Or something to that effect.
Now Pleat certainly confirmed when he said something to the effect that to him, the manager was done and dusted.
I thought then and still think now that Levy has some sort of verbal agreement with somebody to come in the summer. But, as we American attorneys are fond of saying, verbal agreements aren't worth the paper they're written on. :D
So, maybe there's an agreement in place, but its really unenforceable, so Levy is still looking around in case his man backs out of his verbal committment. I suspect that the person who has been identified is a big name, like O'Neill perhaps, but whether we land him or not, who knows.
Yes, we are the 16th biggest club in the world by revenues, and that's when we're finishing mid-table every year in a small stadium! The potential for Spurs is immense. But, the problems are that we cannot expand WHL past 50k, and that's not enough to compete with Manchester United, and soon Arsenal, and probably Liverpool, Newcastle and Everton. Not to mention that with an owner like Abromovich, Chelsea's pockets are the deepest. And that's just in the Premiership.
I'm not happy to say it, but really, Arsenal have just moved out of our category financially with the approval of Ashburton Grove financing. Before, we could have matched them if our teams on the field had been able to secure Champions League soccer. Even though we didn't, and the Gooners saw those revenues rise along with their merchandising sales, etc., the base was similar and the potential similar. Now that their stadium will dwarf ours, more people will go to the games, more gate revenues, more people buying merchandising because they can actually get a ticket, and more money to spend on transfers and payroll for the best players. Spurs need to find a new location to build a stadium with expandability to 60,000+. Until then, our place as a Financial Top 20 team really should be with an asterik. And potential coaches know that.

That is why we need a new stadium. Given that two huge new stadia are being built in London in the next few years we should make serious approaches to use one of these. It makes sense for both sides and we can get a new stadium on the cheap.
As for levy, I see Pleat as his mouthpiece. If Pleat said the manager was sorted and it wasn't then the club should have said so.
