a quote from Le Boss regarding Jermaine Pennant

"In my opinion, especially recently, he has done extremely well. All the reports have been very good. He should be back next season and we want him, if he accepts that he has to fight for his position."

This seems like a bit of a turnaround. With Pennant's discipline problems (handbags, drunk-driving) this past year, I'm surprised that AW is really going to bring him back.

I think he's a quality player who is in severe need of an attitude adjustment. Maybe he's finally making that turn?

I think if Leeds go down, he will beg to come back. But if they stay up and he is guarenteed first team footy he will stay at Leeds.

Could be AW's giving him the thumbs up so that we can get a decent price in the transfer market, or he's genuinely offering him another chance? I think AW is crafty enough to do the first and decent enough to try the second!

I'm as surprised as anybody, having silently agreed that Jeffers and Pennant would never play for us again. Yet, over the past *few* games, who's looked better - Jermaine or Freddie? Too bad FL's out today or we'd be able to see them strut their stuff at the same time.

I really hope we get to keep pennant. I hope he doesn't play crap against you today like he did in the league at ER earlier this season. I'd love to see him get a goal...

Was it me or did Arsenal just play against one guy today? That guy happened to be Pennant. He had a blinder, maybe trying to impress his boss for next year. If Freddie does get his wish to play for Real, then Pennant will easily take his place.
